great video man.. my cerato gearknob release button keep getting stucked all the time.. now its fixed by applying some grease/ WD40 inside the gearknob
@@junkitlow I just can’t seem to pull the lever up and off. i have it in neutral with the e-brake on I tried so hard and I had a friend help as well and he couldn’t get it off. I don’t think it’s ever been taken off, so I don’t know if there’s another way, or if it’s just really on there.
Hi Jun Kit, will we in any way harm the gear shaft if inaccurate? I'm hunting for a different gear knob for a refreshed look (so far unsuccessful) and contemplating DIY. Thoughts?
@@palanquinn it wont damage, it is like a metal teeth locking the knob and the shaft. Unless we are removing it everyday, then it might damage the lock thread.

This was super helpful, but what about just replacing the boot and keeping the knob? Does the boot easily detach from the knob?
Yes you can, the boot is just holding by clips.
Same like kia Sportage 2012??
So good, I wish to wrap the surround in my GT 2000 Kia Seltos. It has a silver grip and piano black surround. is it the same?
I cannot confirm but should be same. Just need to double check if there is any locking mechanism around the knob.
Thank you
What about replacing the light bulb on the shifter?

Is this the same way to remove my kia Cerato 2011 sedan car and from where can I buy this lever cover ?
Yes it should be the same way
You can buy online from Shopee or Lazada if you are leaving in Malaysia. If not, you can try Aliexpress.
Does this work on a Kia forte 2017??
