On the contrary guys the sopapilla is very traditional New Mexico. It is like an Indian fried bread which is very light and airy. Growing up we used to eat them stuffed with ground beef, lettuce, tomato and cheese. Some people also like to put powdered cinnamon on top as well. One of the other traditional New Mexican dishes that you did not show in your video was the red chili enchiladas stacked pancake style with one or two fried eggs on top and it is truly amazing!

Another terrific video. You just scratched the surface of New Mexico. It would be wonderful to see you up in Santa Fe. It's the oldest US capital (1607) and is very different from Albuquerque. There are so many truly delicious foods that you have yet to try. The downtown makes for incredible video shoots.
I just re watched the entire series for about the 5th time. What a great show. I liked a lot of the scenes with Marie. Especially when she was shoplifting or going to open houses pretended to be someone else. Great video you guys!
So happy to see this. I lived in Albuquerque area 1999 to 2015. Tijeras. Loved it. NM food much different tasting than you get elsewhere in USA. I still cook with NM Chiles, red and green.
I’m from New Mexico. I recommend El Pinto or Sadies next time your around. Huge portions and both have excellent green and red chile. In few weeks is the gathering of nations powwow which is a sight to see. If you come back around August come see Santa Fe during Santa Fe Indian market and Zozobra. White sands is always a must see down south about 2-3 hour drive from Albuquerque. I enjoyed your video. Hope you guys come back soon. I do watch your Las Vegas and LA area videos because I do make trips out that way and need recommendations on food. ☺️

My mother was from Santa Fe and we visited there many times growing up in California. Green chilies for sure! Love them! Now live in South Carolina on the beach and a few years ago we had to evacuate due to hurricane. I only took my Hatch green chilies I had in the freezer!! They are gold to me!! The hit man was gone.
Awesome episode! Loved all the location shots. I never watched the original broadcast of Breaking Bad but binge watched all seasons on Netflix. It reminds me of my pre-foodie days decades ago when I visited Roslyn, Washington where they filmed Northern Exposure (one of my all-time favourite shows). The whole town was a "character" and they still have landmarks from the show. As always, enjoy your food adventures!

I loved watching Breaking Bad because it was filmed around my hometown. It was almost as exciting to see you cruising around exploring my hometown! Next time a few more BB landmarks..... Raks building supply in LL, The Crossroads Motel and the A&P parking lot in Abq. Some local foodie places.... Mac's Steak in the Rough, Barela's Cafe and El Modelo. Better yet, our International Balloon Fiesta is both spectacular and full of foodie stands to sample NM cuisine. Thanks for sharing all your traveling adventures with us. 🤗👌

It is so hard to pick just one breaking bad scene because as you watch each episode you begin to love each character even evil Gus!! I was Disturbed but loved the scene where Hank is made to think that Marie was in a horrible accident just so Jesse and Walter could escape. And another scene that I thought was hilarious is when Walter brought the bomb up the elevator the bomb that was meant to kill Gus but it was magnetic and got stuck to the side of the elevator I thought that that was hilarious,, anyway I love your guys's content I think that you're so amazing with each other thank you again

Hi Bill & Lisa - Great vlog! If you ever want to do an 8 hour drive for a trip, you might want to consider visiting Winslow, Arizona and staying at the La Posada hotel. Beautiful, historic hotel with a fantastic restaurant! Of course there is also the little downtown area, where you can stand on the corner!

One of the funniest things on Breaking Bad was the pizza on the roof! LOL! But my favorite scene was when Walt’s wife showed him all the money they had accumulated in the storage facility. Overall, a great show!

Shawshank Redemption was filmed in my area, there is a pizza place in town that was Pinky’s. They have some movie memorabilia and such. The prison was in the next town over.

One of the funniest things on Breaking Bad was the pizza on the roof! LOL! But my favorite scene was when Walt’s wife showed him all the money they had accumulated in the storage facility. Overall, a great show!

Bill seems to want to taste the pizza everywhere he goes so I think he will love the pizza at this restaurant. It is delicious. My kids and my grandkids know how much I love your videos. Shawshank Redemption was filmed in my area, there is a pizza place in town that was Pinky’s. They have some movie memorabilia and such. The prison was in the next town over.
