I'm so happy this exists on the internet! I'm one of the children singing in the choir hahaha. What a truly magical part of my childhood!! I feel very lucky I had this experience ❤
I am sitting in my room after midnight watching this, and the tears are rolling down my face...I had forgotten how HILAROUSLY FUNNY Michael is! This is a treat to watch, thank you for sharing it!
A NATIONAL TREASURE. MICHAEL IS SO ENTERTAINING AND SO FUNNY. JUST WATCHING HIM TALKING IS A COMEDY IN ITS SELF. THE MOST ENTERTAINING THE FACIALLY EXPRESIONS , THE COMEDY SO WONDERFFUL. HE IS A GOD GIVEN GEM. GOD BLESS AND KEEP HIM AROUND FOR A VERY , VERY LONG TIME.
MICHAEL CRAWFORD is the best we ever heard. He has an Angel voice, absolutly unique. As Frank Spencer there are no words. Genious. The best commedy ever
Wow, thank you so much for posting. I've only seen the part of the interview with the hilarious story EFX story he tells. LOVED the Phantom story with the lip, lol.
My heavens! Michael is so generous and giving of himself. I didn't know he did/does counseling with troubled kids. He is so very funny in his storytelling. Watching his face as others speak shows his true kindness and humility. Michael is quite the treasure
Oh, that's why we now have 2 kisses in the play & in the movie, instead of 1. Explains a lot. (giggle) I love what he said about the Las Vegas incident: "I'm very big in Bejing now." And I love the expressions on his face as that lady said, "We had so many wonderful parties in your house, and you paid for it all.", the whole "plate of chips" thing, & when she talked about John Lennon's movie w/ the awkward title. Such a warm, sweet, caring, compassionate, funny guy. I was bullied terribly in school, too, because I have Asperger's Syndrome (a mild form of autism). I was born out of wedlock, an only child raised by my mom & grandma, & I was a very hyperactive kid. So, I can relate to Michael on a # of different levels. He's an incredible kindred spirit for me. "Phantom" introduced me to theater as a way of coping w/ the pain from all the abuse I took at school. I hope to meet him someday & thank him for inspiring me.
Wow !!! All I have ever seen is the short clip on Parkinson on the EXF mishap. I have often thought there had to be more and always wanted to see it. Well, you've done it again. You are a marvel and a wonder. Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!
It's on PBS? When? I've only seen 1 short clip (Betty's pregnancy announcement) & 1 full-length episode (the baby's birth). Both of those bits were here on YT. At what times does the network show them? I'd really love to know.
I know. Got a little drama going on at home right now, so any laughter in my life is awesome. There's another show from the UK due to be broadcast here again in the summer: "Vicious", starring Derek Jacobi & Ian McKellen (Michael's old rep. theater mate). It's really, really cool & funny.
I thought Ian only had a crush on Derek back in the day, but those feelings weren't reciprocated. Credit the Jonathan Ross show for how I know that 1. Wait...that is what you were talking about, right, when you said "more than a mate in the English sense"? Because as far as I know, Michael & Ian were nothing more than good friends. I don't even know if that lasted after they left their rep. program. You must be much more intelligent & up-to-date w/ your information than I am, if you know something like that.
Michael pack up in NZ and come to Aus. You are revered here and we will welcome you with open arms. You are a great story teller, a great voice and a great actor..
I love Michael Crawford, he is my favorite Phantom, but when he sings anything other than the POTO score, he just never soars; his voice is lovely, but it just seems like his gorgeous Irish tenor is muted. But damn, he is very funny and witty.
@Toadhouse. I have. I remember once, it was years ago, on Halloween night, I was driving and listening to the radio, flipping channels, and the original soundtrack of Phantom of the Opera was playing, and Florence Henderson was hosting, and she made the comment that when Michael Crawford sang as The Phantom, it was almost like he was possessed. Something to that effect. I enjoy his other music, but as The Phantom of the Opera, Michael Crawford was otherworldly.
@@veecee3669 Wow! That’s an interesting story! He does seem out of this world that’s for sure. He sure can hold a note! So amazing! I wish I had the opportunity to see him perform. One of the greatest singers of our time. I love his sense of humor too and all his stories. It makes you wonder what he’s like to be around. Probably pretty wonderful. It’s nice to share this interests with others. Thanks for your reply. 😊💗
@Toadhouse. You're welcome! Yes, I'm sure Michael Crawford would have many stories to tell. Here's an interesting tidbit. He was ill some years back, and needed lots of rest, so he moved to Australia, I think to be near his daughter (son? I can't remember), he would go fishing a lot, and the locals just knew him as "Mike", they had no idea who he was!
@@veecee3669 Oh, wow! Yes, I recently became aware of his illness and that he moved to be near his daughter, but I did not know that he was a fisherman and hid his identity. Hopefully, he is feeling better now. I recently read that Sarah Brightman has recently developed an illness. She’s one of my favorites too. So many people coming Don with all sorts of strange sicknesses these days. It’s incredibly sad. Thanks for the story. I appreciate hearing things like that.
Imagine telling all your mates that your dad is Michael Crawford! Their friends might not know exactly who Michael Crawford is but I bet their parents will!

I have been looking for this complete interview forever!
A beautiful song from a gifted human being. ❤ dedicated to my P.H.take note!x
Americans do, indeed, know his comedy. Some Mother's Have Em is very big on PBS. I love him.

More than a mate in the English sense. They were an item at one time.

I like him
***** and the late cilla
The story about being on a plane with frank spencer flying the plane is hilarious, that interview with parky is somewhere on here

You need to listen to more of his songs.

2001 disaster. Thank God he’s on a private plane. God protects good man.
Wow! He’s so funny!
I think he could do a one man show without singing or acting, just based on his stories, lol
Imagine telling all your mates that your dad is Michael Crawford! Their friends might not know exactly who Michael Crawford is but I bet their parents will!
If you try to you might "Have a bit of trouble" doing it!
Hilarious......
Dance with the vampire 🧛♂️
I would like to be like you.
He kinda sounds like George Harrison.
