RIP the texas splash down, one of my first "big guys" rides when i was really little, also i though i didn't ride it recently (before it was torn down) and didn't know they had added hand rails to hold onto, back in "my day" the logs had NOTHING to hold onto, gravity kept you in the log (and you're much heavier parents)
I didn't know they close that ride what happened I remember riding the Texas Splashdown as a kid and in my opinion is the tallest log flume ride in the state of Texas and it has not just one drop but to it's probably four times higher than the El Sol Alvaro log flume ride at Six Flags Over Texas historically the world's first log flume ride ever built and thankfully it's still an operation today generally in the hottest Texas weather
So this is the former log ride that Catapult Falls replaced. It took them over a decade for them to put something new here. I wonder why it was taken out in the first place.
While Texas splash down does look incredibly scary with the lack of guardrails, it definitely is a better ride than the underwhelming Catapult falls, and the original ride should’ve been overhauled

petepenguinytp1 Nope. The concrete splashdown pools are still there abandoned. But Wave Breaker opened across from where Spashdown used to be.
And Atlantis not place where splashdown it was place by the stadium seaworld
