The water beads are not a toy and not suitable for kids or pets. I soak the beads for 6 hours in distilled water beforehand. Distilled water is best to prevent any bacteria from growing. These water beads have lasted me since November.
Disclaimer: when I purchased the lucky charms, I thought they were made out of plastic. But as soon as I put them into water, I realize they were made out of clay so I won’t link the actual lucky charms but I will add the water beads & candles in my LTK in my bio.
