Installing a STOVE to my tiny log cabin

  • Here's the stove I installed: www.pisla.fi/t...
I had to install the stove before it gets too gold, so the window and the door needs to wait for a while. I also need to insulate the roof and finish the loft before I can actually heat the cabin. The stove was sponsored by Pisla.

For me, the ideas in th-cam.com/users/postUgkxAfqpMLyFn37qcqUl0FAzqkkycQeXqrhP Plans were a starting point for building different sheds . Ryan gives ideas that allow an individual to draw nicest conclusions into the design and building of his or her own shed.

Early in my business career, I owned one of the largest fireplace shops & stove warehouses in a 5 state radius. I've seem hundreds of wood & coal stoves installed an a very dangerous fashion. You have done, in my opinion and from what I can see ....a perfect job. Nice going!!!!!

What a neat stove, the playhouse is going to end up being a fantastic B&B...lol...rent it out and make some money, I'd live in it as it's that nice. Fantastic job as usual. Stay safe, be careful, take it easy and keep warm.

    Good Job!
From the amount of clothes you have on; it looks like that stove would chase that chill away.

Something I've done to dress up those fireproof panels around a wood stove is to cover them with pressed tin ceiling tiles. (They're called tin though they're actually pressed steel.) You can get these in all sorts of designs and finishes, and they do a great job of reflecting the radiant heat from the stove.

Wouldn't it be nice to tile those boards behind the stove or put a copper sheet on them
    Keep up to good work

You've done a wonderful job with the entire cabin. I'm very impressed. Do you plan to apply any sealant to the interior and exterior?

Love your videos. You could tape off the stove surround and paint it to look like brick or rock.

Kiitos mukavasta videosta!

Such a big stove in such a small cabin can turn the cabin to a sauna!
