- This song has been a soundtrack of my life since 1989 when I would listen to it through my walkman on the hour long bus ride to school. Playing this song, I won Guitar Center's Whooznxt contest along with 9 other winners and got to take a trip to LA where Joe Satriani himself awarded me this beautiful Ibanez JS20S. I also played this song for my audition to Berklee College of Music in 2013, I was accepted and won a scholarship! It's a very special song to me and now even more so when I get to play it with my amazing husband, Jon Finn. Thank you, Joe for the constant inspiration throughout my life.

lf my ageing memory is accurate, I recall a devastating night at Rainbow Valley where everything seemed to go wrong. Clearly Juli, nothing you tried to do made matters any better. You were frustrated beyond your limits! I watched in horror as you threw one of your prized Ibanez guitars off the back of the stage and into the band's van! Hours later and by some miracle your guitar was repaired. By then there was but a handful of your fans hoping to see your return. The air was still, dawn was about to break, the birds were just starting to sing their wake-up songs and then floating off of that stage comes THIS beautiful sound. I've never told you just how incredibly magical that moment was. From that point on this song no longer belonged to Mr. Satriani! From that moment on, it was and will always be YOUR song Juli. Thank you from a fan.

I knew a very fine guitarist back in the days o' yore, (1980 er so), who could play a smart 'n' sparkly lead with the best of them. One day, during rehearsal, he was learning the chords to "Message in a Bottle" by The Police. His perspiring was profuse and unrelenting. He would stop now and again to flex his wrist and shake his fingers. He admitted that playing chords in that way for that period of time actually hurt, 'though he could play lead for a lot longer with no ill effects. Having said all this, (and it truly is a lot), you make playing the rhythm part look quite easy, Mister Finn. ;-)
