      I just wanted to say I appreciate your honesty. You are both beautiful classy ladies that just tell it like it is.. Positive, upbeat yet not fake.. I have 60 plus pounds to loose. Been doing keto since the first of the year.. I've been watching my carbs pretty well.. And lost 10 lbs at 1st and have kind of stalled.. But I'm going to figure out what it's going to take. I plan to eat this way.. Probably for the rest of my life.. Shoo it's not if I lose weight.. But when!. I chew trident.. Thinking maybe I need to cut back.. Ive heard that you need to calculate 1/2 their sugars.. But wish me luck.. I'm 58 and am planning on doing some hiking and long distance trails, camping and being a nomad. Thinking that would be a good TH-cam channel.. The Keto Kamper adventurer! Actuality at this time I don't have the confidence to be in front of the camera! Kudos to you gals! Btw.. I usually watch TH-cam on my tv.. So I can't like or comment.. But logged into my phone just to say thank you.. ❤

    Sharing my favorite new food. I melt a generous amount of butter on a hot skillet (or frying pan) and fry a low-carb tortilla until it's toasty and crispy. It's like a huge buttery cracker. And the bonus - it has a crunch! I love a crunch and there aren't too many few keto foods that have a crunch, only a few vegetables and nuts. I can think of a million ways to top this huge buttery cracker. I can turn it into avocado toast, top it with egg, melted cheese, or pizza toppings. I can turn it into a sweet by adding finely chopped nuts, SF maple syrup and SF powdered sweetener, cream cheese, strawberries and whipped cream, cinnamon toast, turn it into a pastry. The possibilities are endless. I'm surprised I haven't seen this online. I think this would be a great show for you guys to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • @NickaLah
      @NickaLah 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm so jealous of anyone that is at goal weight after losing 50 lbs... I started keto in 2019, all of my family lost tons of weight and I lost 70 lbs after 8 months. But then all of our weight loss stopped, even those of us still over 300 lbs. We made every adjustment we could and followed all the advice we could find, but couldn't lose weight anymore after trying for two more years.
      We took a break around... last October or November? I've gained all but 15 lbs back, which I knew I'd probably gain some back, but I tried reverse dieting while still being keto and even going up to 2600 calories a day I didn't gain anything... it's so weird how I'm not eating many calories, but just going off keto made the pounds pack right back on. My mom went back on keto a few weeks ago and her weight loss has been much slower, but she's been more dirty keto than we used to be... so we'll go back to super strict keto soon here.

    Sweet treats-smallest pork rinds done like puppy chow, melted Lily’s chocolate chips and natural peanut butter, then dusted in powdered Swerve. Also chayote squash marinated in Mio or Crystal Light fruit flavors. Savory treat-grated cheese, egg white, pork panko chaffle chips dipped in any dip. Use very little egg for a dryer mix and use very little mix in chaffle maker for a thin crispy chip. They are pretty delightful even without a dip.

Take the Kraft deli American cheese slices, not in the individual plastic, but the deluxe ones, cut one slice into 16 squares. sprinkle chili powder and garlic salt on them. Place on parchment paper and microwave for a min or so. Watch them so they don't burn, but they have to be long enough to get crisp. (every microwave is different). Let cool. Enjoy. got myself a snow cone machine - hawaiian shaved ice and I use the skinny girl syrups on it for a zero calorie/carb treat! perfect for after I'm done eating but still want more. The skinny girl syrups are found online of course, but its cheapest at places like Marshalls and Home goods - Find them in banana split, strawberry, etc. So yummy!

      @@warblingsongbird5530 Whether It's dill pickle juice or pepperoncini or whatever juice it is, I like to keep mine for at least 4-5 days to let the flavors completely saturate the eggs. You can definitely eat them sooner, but the flavor won't be as intense. Please note: the texture gets a little 'rubbery' the longer the eggs are pickled. The texture doesn't bother me, but I know some people really don't like it. ~ Before Keto, my favorite juice to use was Pickled Beets which created a beautiful color and taste. Alas! Pickled beets are not allowed on a Keto diet.

    i know this is on the fence of keto but chocolate drizzled berries. ingredients are chocolate shell, any kind of nuts (i like walnuts or almonds), and frozen berries of choice (i like blueberries). it is actually simple and easy. 1) get shell into microwave and microwave it on 30 seconds or warm but not too warm. 2) while heating the shell, get a bowl (a small bowl or a soap bowl). 3) get the frozen berries and put about a handful or 2 (depending on your diet restrictions) into the bowl. 4) get the hot but not too hot shell and cover the berries. 5) get a spoon and brake up the pieces from forming 1 big piece. 6) get less than a handful of nuts of choice and serve. takes about a couple of minutes (less than a commercial brake).
