Waw, that's really amazing ! With this interior design and "porthole" windows, it looks like an airplane flying through a tunnel ! In my country Romania, our trains rarely reach the speed of maximum 150 km / h .
what Romania are you living in? I've never been on a train that went more than 130 and even that is exceptional. From my experience our trains rarely reach 80km/h.
@@e1123581321345589144 I live in Bucharest, Romania. We have some trains that reach even 150 km / h. but I haven't traveled with them yet. Instead, most train sets run at speeds between 80 and 120 km, h. Ofcourse, this depends on the various speed restrictions.
@@emarizea Is it Bucharest-Constanța? I must admit I've never used that one. I live in Cluj and travel to Bucharest quite often. When I do, I sometime like to take the overnight train, but even on this rebuilt track between Bucharest and Brașov then only run at 120. The rest of the way, well, there are sections of track were it runs at 30km/h, but mostly it's between 50 and 80. If I go to my home town near Deva well there's another rebuilt track section between Teiuș and Simeria, over there they sometimes accelerate to 130 but again the rest of the way they can barely manage 80. And if I go towards Iași, well on those lines they run at 50 or less.
In my country (Australia) politicians talk about building a high speed rail line. They have talked about this for the last two or three decades and I'm sure they will keep on talking about it for the next two or three decades!
Invented in the UK, The Japanese saw the benefits unlike the UK Government-then they enhanced the system to what we see today, we are still using old fashioned systems in comparison to this.
Oh, really? So then why the history-faking almighty Brits did not build it first but the Germans with their *_Transrapid_* which they successfully sold to China? The principle was known much earlier _(look up US patent by a German for a linear motor in 1905)_ , but no other nation built a working magnetic levitation train for human transportation before the Germans did in the late 1970ies.
Fred incorrect trains in some long straight sections run over 160kph But still slow compared to these trains Australia is large land space so it's expensive to try to connect big cities

Thank you for watching my video. This was a public test program. The "Superconducting Maglev Experience Ride" has been held since 2014, and so far, more than 117,000 customers have actually experienced high-speed driving at 500 km / h using the Superconducting Maglev. It is dormant now.
Even more astounding than the maximum speed is the acceleration. I hope Japan has great success exporting this system to other countries, and also in the construction of the Tokyo (Shinagawa)-Nagoya-Osaka maglev line.
for 500km/h most of the track will be inside a tunnel so that intoxication is not supposed to do any harm and at 500km/h someone throws a kilogram brick it will probably destroy the train
@@ansible9340 I am not sure about it but the actualy windspeed created at the front should be enough for the brick to explote and or getting thrown over the train. Like, when you drive on the highway, at 130 km/h, not a single fly will hit youre windshield because of the energy the wind carries over your windshield.
This is incredible. I wish Canada would do something similar. Imagine a high speed train going 500 km/h at peak from Toronto to Vancouver? Halifax to Vancouver? Quebec City to Windsor?
As a Japanese, we admit that we have been greatly inspired and honored by the Chinese Sui and Tang Dynasty. So most of the Japanese perfectionism and poise comes from Chinese Confucianism. We thank you for this cultural gift and we wish for a day where Japan and China can ones again be friends and learn from each other without hate.
Impressive. How much energy does it use ? How does its energy use compare to other modes ? What is the pollution impact of facilities used to generate the energy ?
Thank you for watching my Video. The following is reprinted from the website of JR Central. bit.ly/3xy0xxl Q: How much energy does the Superconducting Maglev consume compared to other transportation means (aircraft and conventional Shinkansen)? A: We believe that it is appropriate to compare the environmental performance of the Superconducting Maglev with aircraft in the same speed range. The per capita CO2 emissions of the Superconducting Maglev are about one-third that of an aircraft. As with the Tokaido Shinkansen, which has achieved 49% energy savings compared to when it first opened, we will continue our efforts to save energy on the Chuo Shinkansen. Reference The per capita CO2 emissions of the conventional Shinkansen are about 1/10 that of an aircraft. In addition, it is about 1/12 in the latest energy-saving vehicle N700 series.
Thank you for watching my Video. The following is from the JR Central website. The Superconducting Maglev is equipped with a braking system that can safely stop even at high speeds of 500 km / h. Normally, the brakes are decelerated by the "power regenerative brake", but "wheel disc brakes" and "aerobraking" are also installed in case the "power regenerative brake" becomes unavailable, and on the Yamanashi Maglev Test Line. We have confirmed that we can drive safely by repeating abnormal situation assumption tests under harsh conditions such as landing running from 500 km / h, which is not normally thought of.
Hey.., Ketch.. I sure hope this isnt its final form, neither. Tho undoubtedly Japanese techs are made with the highest standards of quality & highest levels of safety in mind. They unfortunately howevr, have some somewhat rather kinda quirky or odd perseption or approach twards design aesthetics. In this instance, since on the topic of trains, Their HST designs on a cup'l of their models or series, actually turned-out looking prietty goofy (if U ask me ; in a manner of speaking that is). "As-if", Theme Park childish-cartoonish design accents were what was in mind when such was applied for the final product. My advice to their builders wud be to pursue the path of futuristic proper, thus once & for all discontinue with those tasteless Theme Park designs. A similar Train model that won Taiwanese acceptance, wic in Its original design-form, the front-end or for that matter, both leading-ends themselves, can be sed to look rather silly. So.., on the (de-)merit of that feature of mentioned, the Taiwanese, proposed (probably as) a criterium for procurement, that the Train be required to undergo some revision to afford It a more dignified looking façade. For since the Taiwanese are themselves no-slouch with "tech-tinkering", thereof they had that redesigned & reworked over subsequently. So It now actually looked "such-a-far-cry" different, "Better !" actually from Its otherwise.., somewhat embarrassing original.

Sean Greene - Don't get me wrong - I actually respect the Japanese very much for this. They will often take an idea that has lacked support elsewhere in the world and perfect it. The same things happened with medical CT scanners, it was a British invention (GE or Marconi I think) but the investment to go into production was blocked because they were too fearful of how long the returns would take. Hitachi, I believe, bought the IP and went on to produce it and become world leaders. This is mainly possible because up to now at least, Japanese investors are much better at appreciating long term returns rather than a quick cash-in. How do I know this ? I have worked in a Japanese company for over 30 years, 26 of those living in Japan.
I love you so much Japan , Japan is an honor to visit !! your rules, your culture is a teaching that I love to introduce in my life ! the world must learn from you !!

honestly, i would never travel with a train going more than 70mph (120 kmph). a crash at higher speed is way to scary
technicallyy crash at high speed may be far less painful

This Maglev is flying at a height of 10 cm above the ground at 500 km / h even in a tunnel!
what Romania are you living in? I've never been on a train that went more than 130 and even that is exceptional. From my experience our trains rarely reach 80km/h.
@@e1123581321345589144 I live in Bucharest, Romania. We have some trains that reach even 150 km / h. but I haven't traveled with them yet. Instead, most train sets run at speeds between 80 and 120 km, h. Ofcourse, this depends on the various speed restrictions.

Is it Bucharest-Constanța?

I admire Japanese people for this kind of invention! Amazing stuff, I wish we have this in the US.
Thank you for watching my Video.
And thanks for your comment !
More like GERMAN Tech... They invented the MAGLEV...
Invented in the UK, The Japanese saw the benefits unlike the UK Government-then they enhanced the system to what we see today, we are still using old fashioned systems in comparison to this.
Richard Wilson - this was originally developed in the UK in the 1960's and 70's, not Germany.

Sahi h bhai
for 500km/h most of the track will be inside a tunnel so that intoxication is not supposed to do any harm and at 500km/h someone throws a kilogram brick it will probably destroy the train
@@ansible9340 I am not sure about it but the actualy windspeed created at the front should be enough for the brick to explote and or getting thrown over the train. Like, when you drive on the highway, at 130 km/h, not a single fly will hit youre windshield because of the energy the wind carries over your windshield.

Impressive. How much energy does it use ? How does its energy use compare to other modes ? What is the pollution impact of facilities used to generate the energy ?
Thank you for watching my Video.
The following is reprinted from the website of JR Central.
bit.ly/3xy0xxl
Q: How much energy does the Superconducting Maglev consume compared to other transportation means (aircraft and conventional Shinkansen)?
A: We believe that it is appropriate to compare the environmental performance of the Superconducting Maglev with aircraft in the same speed range.
The per capita CO2 emissions of the Superconducting Maglev are about one-third that of an aircraft.
As with the Tokaido Shinkansen, which has achieved 49% energy savings compared to when it first opened, we will continue our efforts to save energy on the Chuo Shinkansen.
Reference
The per capita CO2 emissions of the conventional Shinkansen are about 1/10 that of an aircraft.
In addition, it is about 1/12 in the latest energy-saving vehicle N700 series.

How does it brake in emergency? Deploying a parachute?

Ketchup Lover NANI?

More like GERMAN Tech... They invented the MAGLEV...
Richard Wilson No - they didn't - it was the UK
It doesn't matter who invented it. It's who actually puts it into real everyday use that is the genius.
