Beautifully shot. I enjoyed the cinematography, color grading, VFX and makeup work. The sound design was a little over-the-top in some cases, in particular the battle scenes but otherwise this was solid! I'm impressed with what you were able to pull off with simple locations and it makes me so jealous that we don't have suitable landscapes/locations to film medieval films where I live here in South Florida, USA. **SPOILER ALERT BEYOND THIS** I will say, I totally expected the wife to jump scare me at the end. I thought it was actually surprising, and beautiful that he reunites with her in the end, despite her clearly not being her old self. Well done.
Why the hell isn't this getting more views and shares?? This is incredible!!!
This is an absolute masterpiece, you do not get the recognition you deserve!
Thanks for the kind words! Really glad you enjoyed it :)
This was released the day after my birthday, and I gotta say, it was an excellent present. I loved every second of this short. Good job!
Awesome, cheers James!
That was seriously impressive. Excellent work to everybody involved. Most of Hollywood wishes it was this resonant.
Thanks a lot! Really glad it meant something :)
EPIC ... There is no other sound like it ... when the sword is pulled out of its sheath
I came here because my friend said his friend from my home town was in it.... this is awesome!
Awesome, thanks for checking it out!

Love this - lots of Celtic secrets within
Thanks Jeff! Really glad you enjoyed it. There's a lot of little details in there most probably wouldn't pick up on, so it makes it all worth it when someone does :)
Masterpiece!

I got to do my school project on this, I loved it so much
This is absolutely phenomenal! Is there any way I can reach out to the director? Thank you!
Finally! a short fantasy flick that wasn't cheesy but actually compelling and interesting. I am not sure where the story is going (or if it is supposed to go any further), but I like where it began.
AMAZING,
Thank you :)
10/10 👌
Beautiful. I don't understand why this has so little attention.
Thanks very much :)
I'd wager it's due to the unspoken/not shown "violence against women" undertone. Excepting that, there is no reason, in my opinion. Algorithms are strange ducks.
What a pity it havent subtitles to not english speakers. Looks good
this is effing dope
Thank you :)
Well done ✔
Thank you!
@@LittleDragonPictures you're very welcome 😀
It is very nice !
8:34 min I found this shot beautiful 🤩
Really good in any case
Just a small request, could you put the subtitles for the next ones please ? ^^
(French subtitles for lazy people like me😂)
Thanks very much! Ha we'll be sure to include French subtitles next time :)
Also have another look @4:30-4:33 (specifically the tree canopy's skirt and the beams of "light", which are not from the moon as it is in view behind the canopy!!). As eerie as it is beautiful. I find it the most mysterious shot of the entire film.
💖 From Philippines 💯🔥
Thank you from New Zealand :)
Just terriffic!
Where can I find the amazing background music?
The music is composed specifically for the film so isn't currently available separately. But we might look at releasing a track or two on their own on this channel at some point :)
I, in my selfishness, begged the gods to return you to me. They did. The Visage I witnessed would of shook the hardiest of men. Yet I, saw you, and wanted you in life as in death. Embrace me my love. I am yours forever.
Low was fire but I wish there was more action. Or maybe this was like a file tale they just adapted. Also ending could have been better.
Good work. Very atmospheric. It just bothers me a bit, that the protagonist is wearing his sword on the wrong side :D
Thanks for watching :) It's an interesting note about the sword! Historically it seems certain cultures were more rigid with that than others, eg Samurai always on the left side, Roman Legionnaires on the right (at least until around 2nd C AD or so). The setting of the film is based mostly on sub Roman Britain and the early Arthurian myth era, and it apparently wasn't uncommon for Celts (including Britons) to wear a sword on the right, regardless of a shield or not. We based the character on having a more traditional Celtic heritage than Roman (hence him seeking out a Druid), so decided to let the actor wear the sword where he felt most comfortable.
I guess it's sort of like mounting on the wrong side of a horse. It's only wrong if it creates unnecessary danger. Like when a horse is accustomed one way and it's rider another. Yet being overly predictable during warfare creates unnecessary danger. See what I mean?
@@LittleDragonPictures how did you tell one Celtic from another I mean it's not like Italians and celts were you can tell or negros and either of those 2.
Feels like berserk
Well made yet the storyline is rubbish...
Masterpiece!
