This guys overnight success took him 10 years. Great example of how people often forget that success takes time and effort. Well done to this man doing what he’s here for.
Started filmmaking 2 years ago as a hobby and made TH-cam videos. Loved every second of it (apart from editing on a slow machine) and now wanna take it full time! People like you, really inspire us and one day hopefully, will meet you at the top mate! 😁
No wonder your videos are super awesome now -- you've been so consistent since childhood! Congrats on the fast growth, it's well deserved! While everything looks pristine, I think your sound editing makes you stand out the most.
I used to make videos since 2011. Mostly, we were just a hobby. I made a lot of trials and errors. Years went by, I was burned out and wanted to quit doing it. But man , while I was watching this video,I took a lot of notes and it will motivates me to pursue making videos and wanted to set my goal become a full-time/successful filmmaker in 5 years from now. So thank you so much! 🙏🙏
This was extremely helpful. I've seen quite a few videos with a similar topic, but the point where you say to shadow someone experienced in the industry was so enlightening. Thank you!
Excellent job man! I love the honesty and willingness to share your workflow with others. I’ve seen a few of your videos and have to say your editing is top notch. Thought it was also terrific when you talked about scripting versus free flow in your shots. Crazy helpful! Will definitely be implementing some of these techniques in my videos
Arghhhhh! Really love your effort and creativity in filming! Always full of passion, keep it up!!! I was just watching your videos 3 months ago with few subscribers and look at you now! You deserve that! :)
The first 3.5 mins of this video glued me on the screen. You are such an amazing storyteller. Those match cuts was so brilliantly executed. Much love and appreciation from India!!
Awesome and inspiring video, Niklas. I would say it is a learn process and it doesn't matter where you started. Most importantly you did and you keep on learning!
Great inspirational video. I also shoot videos since many years. Always next to school, constantly leaning new skills and practice a lot. And now I finished my Abitur last year, founded my own company and now I am shooting videos for companies. It’s such a great job. Even when I am just at the beginning I am really happy about the things I have achieved to this day and I’m looking foreword to many great years☺️
Your growth is insane but really well deserved man. Your vids are so well structured, you're a good presenter and everything is just point! Keep on going man, you'll reach 1 mill in no time!
im going to come back to this nik when ive quit my job to become a fulltime filmmaker, because i know its possible. i just gotta show myself that its possible, just like anything else in this world. mahalo nui for your ways niklas love you man.
Who films you filming? I feel like to get quality videos like this out and include yourself in it would require friends of the same skill set and interest. Love your work, inspiring and right to the point. Keep helping people. Thank you!
Every video of yours contains so much value! The way you're thinking about passion inspires so many people (including me 😄). I'm on my way to become a Full Time Filmmaker🎥 and because of the incredible community of filmmakers it kind of doesn't feel like I'm alone?! Even if we don't know each other.. anyone else feeling this or it's just me being weird? haha Keep up the good stuff & good luck for everyone on the journey! 🔥🔥🔥
MAN its an ENERGY for go forward you are pushing everyone to get better film maker. My biggest dream is create something epic on youtube i need to deliver a good content. You are an inspiration brother
Innerhalb kürzester Zeit bist du zu meinem absoluten Lieblingsyoutuber geworden. Deine Videos sind einige der wenigen, die ich jedes Mal direkt und bis zum Ende schaue. Super Arbeit Niklas! Immer so viel nützliche Infos in high quality videos. Ich bin so froh, dich gefunden zu haben ☺️
I have been making films since I was 10, and I have always been more interested in traditional filmmaking. Big sets, awesome original stories and different jobs intrigued me more. Planning to go to film school once i graduate in 2024 and working my way up to hopefully working as a director in Hollywood. Great video man!
Can´t believe he is celebrating 100k subs and 7 months later he is almost at half a million subs! wow, that's mindblowing!! Congratulations Nik!! Keep it up!
I have a degree from the Filmacademy Baden-Wuerttemberg, which is arguably one of the best filmschools in the world, and I completely agree with Nikklas. If you want to go to work for big budget, big teams, projects, a filmschool definitely helps to become a specialist (but only a good one - all other ones are a waste of money and time). But if you want to go and be a generalist, who can reach over a hundred thousand people (congrats!), courses, youtube etc. and above all consistent practice is a perfectly viable path. In the earlier days we called it "auto-didact", which means nothing else than "tech yourself". your work is an inspiration (even to me, who's been in the industry since 2006), weiter so!
Ohh woww!! Why you always inspire me to move forward! Watching your videos, I went on a social media detox, started making my daily routine..made my website and stuff! You will do great on TH-cam🔥 I love your storytelling ❤️ more to learn from you! And yeah congratulations for 100k more numbers to come❤️
I am in film school, I like a mix a of traditional and modern filmmaking, and I am learning everything in details, so I think if you can find a film school you can afford it is a great option and it helps gain a great network and you'll make connections with fellow filmmakers. It is not for the sake of the degree, it is for the sake of learning, having hands on experience with equipment you don't have a most importantly meeting key people to your career
Have no words bro Saw your first video around 5-6 months back And you had around 30k subs and now that you've crossed 100k , it really makes me happy to see this community grow and the type and quality of content that you bring out is something next level Keep growing brother and more power to you ❤️✨
Your videos are always so high quality and the storytelling is amazing. No wonder you have gained such a huge following in a short time! Your work is fantastic. 🙌🏾
Only when one shoots and makes mistakes, he or she can grow and make progress. My experience says just puck up your camera and shoot anything to learn. Also teaming up with others is highly important, because there is always someone who supports you and gives you energy to create great things
One big question which is always in my mind. When creating a portfolio / doing my marketing - would you recommend being very focused on a niche (like drone videos, or cars, etc.) or keep it broad to attract more clients early on. Or in other words, is it even possible to have a broad portfolio without it looking like a dump of random videos / photos?
This is what happened to me when I was 5 years OLD I got my first camra it was nothing much but I filmed everything and now at 14 yr I have a perfesinal camera and I am making this my job now. I also want to thankyou for your videos they have inspired me to keep going even when there is set backs.
I'm always scared to start a video I always think a lot, make scripts even record the videos but after that idk why I just leave the video I have changed my niche every year idk which one is good for me I tried art in 2019, gaming in 2020 and filmmaking in 2021 idk why I am not consistent Niklas you have been my inspiration to create videos keep creating great videos
a good exercise is to think about what you would do if money wasn't an object. If you had all the money in the world, what things would you like to do to give you purpose? And no, just traveling, partying or other types of pure consumption dont count since they don't give purpose. ;)
Thank you Niklas for your great advice and insights! I am trying to get better with each video and when I had started I never really stopped to take the time to really learn DaVinci Resolve. It was funny you mentioned learning the software because I was thinking the other day, I think I need to stop and really LEARN the software! Thank you for another awesome and inspiring video! Peace!
Those "crappy" old videos don't even look crappy. They look fun! :D Really, that's what it's all about. The photo or video quality is too high on some people's totem poles. The ones involved sell the product more than the quality itself.
Awesome video! I got into film-making just so that I could present my music online, but now I want to dive deeper and make better videos, but also better music… I can’t sacrifice any one craft, it will have to be both 😅
I found your channel recently and wondered about why that dude is so cinematic) After some hours you were on my recommendations) IT IS SO BEAUTIFUL. Love from Uzbekistan 🇺🇿 ( central asia) p.s we are not English speaking country)
Hi Niklas, My name is Ben and I'm 13 and live in nz. I LOVE filmmaking and ever since I was 8 years old me and my cousin have made films with iPads, until I saved up enough money to get a camera. Ever since then, we have created scripts together and brought our friends around and created action and drama films with what we had lying around. With every movie we have made it had been one of the best experiences that me and my friends have had, and we have such a blast making them and having our families around for the premiere. We are creating an 1800s film and we have been planning it for around 5 months, and we are so excited to put all our skills from previous fails into this new film. Your videos have inspired me to become a better filmmaker, and I admire the quality and skill you put into your videos. Even though you probably won't be reading this just wanted to say thanks man; your an inspiration!!
This was awesome. Have you ever thought about a video about smartphone videography? I'm always curious what a pro can get out of our every day devices who have become rather capable.
Thank you so much for this video, we would love to one day life as a filmmaker. Our TH-cam channel is the first start but watching your videos gives us inspiration to keep going.
