Thought I recognised the green floral Laura Ashley fabric in Sarah’s mother’s quilt- my grandmother made me a bridesmaid dress in it, in 1981. Material Obsession is my favourite ever patchwork book!
I love Sarah's work. Material Obsession books started my foray into bright, vibrant quilting. Thank you Sarah for sharing your creativity and teaching.
The new "foil" method for circles might be a good idea for the special canning lids/cloth embroidered dress-ups when giving a gift jar of jam or pickles or just for display. thanks for all the great ideas/hints!!! NM
I participated in the Down the Rabbit Hole BOM when it came out, and I absolutely loved it! I learned so much, and she taught me how to do needle turn applique. I got to meet her at QuiltCon the next year and had her sign the quilt label. I absolutely recommend anything Sarah does!
Pellon SF 101...Shape-flex 101 makes great soft, flexible, leave in stabilizer.... instead of paper stabilizer which you have to tear away..ugh. It is also great to use for summer quilt sans batting.
problems threading a needle??....the eye of the needle has a front and back, made during manufacturing...so, if u are having trouble threading, u might be trying to thread the needle from the back of the eye, where the opening is smaller. Also, sometimes a light lick of ur saliva on the tip of your finger may help "draw/suck" the thread through the eye.
Thank you Sarah, your quilts are gorgeous 🌺🦋🌷
