- Many of you asked me to make a video about how I took the brush pieces out of the hinge. Here's the process! 😊
!!!!! You have to be very careful, since this is not an official repair/cleaning method. Try this method at your own risk !!!!!
!!!!! Applying too much force/pressure may damage or break the internal screen ribbon cable (Flex cable) !!!!!
I wish a Merry Christmas all of you, with this song😊: th-cam.com/video/ZYdkQolz7AE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=sp5LGHH8pCCaFEOe
Thank you so much for sharing this!
My phone all of a sudden couldn't open up all the way anymore. I did suspect the brushes came loose as I saw a slight residue of the brush-adhesive on the hinges back.
Then I stumbled upon your video and fixed it just as described in the video. It did take quite some time an a lot of fiddling around but it now opens up again. You're the best!
@@ranielfriedHey! Great to hear that!
I cut up a can to emulate the shape, worked like a charm with a little isopropyl alcohol
Hi! Great to hear that, and thanks for sharing your experience! :)
what did you use the alcohol for?
@@losvering Break down the adhesive for the brushes. Worked perfect.
thank you so much, its did work perfectly for me 😍
@@youssefqochri5722 Hey! Great to hear that! :)
Thanks for the video
When I did that, I think I used too much force, and I believe I ripped the inner screen's ribbon cable (Flex Cable). So now I have to change the display ribbon cable, and I will clean it from inside since I will open it completely.
PS
I used the same tools that you used
Yes, you have to be very careful, since this is not an official repair/cleaning method. Maybe I was just luck, but I did it with very little force. Thank you for drawing our attention to this, I'll include it in the description of the video!
Thank you bery much💪👏👏👏
I hope you find it useful :)
@Starwing78 thanks i really apreciatte😀
Pagla
Thnks for the guide video
You are welcome :)
Thank you soo much
It did work for me but sadly i used a raise
Razor blade and it shattered from the inside and stoked lol
Am trying to get out but 😂
Ohh, sorry to hear that!
U need to do this technique on both sides or just the one from the back?
Hi! Basically, it is only necessary to do it on the side where the problem is.
@Starwing78 how did u managed to know which side had the issue?
@@vayler1 Carefully pull the tool (not the hook!) along the hinge, and where it gets stuck, that's where the problem will be. (Starts at about 1:00 in the video.)
I did that; it worked, but the phone is still not opening fully. I think there is still brush in there.
I'm glad the method works, but you'll probably have to try again.
@Starwing78 When I slide my 1mm blade, it doesn't stick; it keeps sliding easily.
Okay, and when you move it in both directions, does the hook always point towards the end of the hinge?
@@Starwing78 what do you mean mr
At 2:08 you can see me flip the tool over and move towards the other end. Is that how you do it?
But removing the brush will damage the hinge in some time... it cleans the dust that can cause problems the hinge
Yes, this is the function of the brush, but unfortunately, when the factory adhesive breaks down, the brush gets tangled. That's why you have to remove it. But you are right, the hinge can be damaged, so do it at your own risk! Or try to have it repaired by the service center.
