Thanks so much, I have been working with wood for years and I learned a number of things from your video. I can't wait to read more.
I would like to watch one of those boats being built. A lot of wood, but looks great.
Must be my third or forth time coming back to this educational and enjoyable video to help me get my regular varnishing tasks done. Thank you!
Thank you so much very nice project
May I ask what brand of varnish did you use?
We don't want to scratch the surface, so no sandpaper. Then we see him scraping it with a razor blade? Ha ha ha.
What kind of varnish?! Please tell me
looks like Rylard
Great video. How do you deal with water intrusion under the varnish? Can you get rid of the black or grey colour or do you just say "Meh, it's a boat"?
Such useful info (as usual) but really helpful info regarding the removal of the bits and boxing off the brush - definitely going to help. Thanks
I wish I was a millionare are and could hang out in your shop for the rest of my life. I absolutely love your videos! I love this boat also, it is coming out so beautiful!!
Join in the line :)
You've taken the words from my mouth ! I'm a retired tradesman and could sit and watch these videos all day long. I think in the ( approx ) 15 or so videos I've watched of Louis doing his stuff he's come across about 5 or 6 things where he's said things like " I've not done this before " or the likes and he just comes up with an amazing work around. Talk about an old Sea dog ! The guy's a fantastic inovator !
You cant, you have to be a reptilian first. If you are a reptile its a matter of choice.
WOW - What pros! Just when I thought I saw all the tricks... you guys really have some great material! Thanks for sharing!
A beautiful looking little dinghy. Great tips and it is showing.
Hope you gave Kenneth a bonus for Christmas 2013, given he is as worthy as you think he is to go world-wide on youtube. Christmas 2014 if it skipped your mind.
Outstanding little film
Thanks for sharing your skill with us all
marine spar varnish is the best clear the best.. BUT is really strong thr odor
We don't want to scratch the surface, so no sandpaper. Then we see him scraping it with a razor blade? Ha ha ha.
Music reminds me Clickspring ☺
the tape around the brush is called a saddle
A true artisan, and some great tips
Very nice work, thanks for sharing it on video.
I don't know much about boats; but I want that boat. Great job!
Your videos are great, can you do more boat building. Where are you located?

Thanks man great video I always learn something off watching your videos
Very very nice work as always!!!👍💯👌
I think it looks awful. There are too many different wood colours in both directions, it’s a mishmash and not worthy of this wonderful workmanship. It would look fine painted with the outside varnished.
Cue hatred and outrage.
Clearly this is a boat repair of an older boat. Some frames and other pieces look brand new while most looks like it has sat out in the weather and really bogged the floor areas turning them almost black. Boat repair rarely includes replacing all of the wood with new boards and planks. It is clearly a used boat. However, if you ever have a boat get wet and bogged and you choose to paint the interior, that's up to you.
Tips for what? To see a lots of lines!
Very nice
It is beautiful work you are caring out, good inspiration for me.
