Thanks for the upload, Karine is a gem. She makes me even more proud to be a Scot which I didn't think was possible! Her gig at Hootennany's in Inverness was fantastic. Karine was just buzzing afterwards!
My daughter just learned this in a private lesson with Maeve Gilchrist. It's such a beautiful song that I had to find the original. It was an honor for my daughter to have met Maeve, she is as sweet as she is talented, and she is greatly talented. We are grateful to her for turning our ears to the wonderful music of yet another great Scottish musician, Karine Polwart.
This was one of my favorite Malinky songs! I hope they still do it too, even though she's not with them anymore. I'm going to their concert in a couple weeks. But I still love Karen.
i wish i could find this one song i fell in love with. it was karin doing a song with another girl, they were harmonizing, and i found it on her website, like yeeeeeeeeears ago, but never bought the album. i'll probably never hear it again. :C oh well.
I actually Really Like Maeve Gilchrist's version... chords are too clever?? Maybe its because you don't understand them.... the version is different because that is exactly what it is: a Version..and when you do a version of something you try to give it a new turn a new touch! I love Karine Polwart too!
Beautiful!! Karine is The Greatest!!
Wow there`s a new addition to my Fav singers list....Only 12+ years late...
karine Polwart, one of the best on the folk scene. Nice to see a live video.

What a fine, strong voice. Nice to hear a singer who isn't depending on studio production tricks. Good job!
