    The crew seemed like a bunch awesome people you want to work with. Thank you Bluewater Yachting for insight to your work/relax place. also, thanks to Jared for this vlog.

      The two videos I've seen touring this yacht have had great crew interviews. Nice to see.

    Thank you so much for posting. This is the type of content I love. Insite into the working life of crew is fascinating to me. I'm too old to work as crew, but I have young adult children who are interested. If you look at a yacht profile, either in print or online, the crew areas and their work areas are almost never shown. Also, a huge thank you to the crew and the owner who were kind enough to let us have a glimpse of them and the boat.

    So glad you did a video on crew cabins. I always want to see the whole ship. Even how the crew lives. Thank you so much Jared

      Yeap... yeap... i agree with you... me too, always want to see the whole ship. Especially the crew cabins, engine room etc bla bla bla... Thanks Jared.
      Next time when you wanto to make review / tour of a yacht, make it full... the entire whole yacht, including the crew cabins, captain's cabin, engine room etc bla bla bla... Because, if i'm rich and would want to buy a yacht you are selling, i would want to have a view of everything. Thanks Jared

      It says a lot about the boat, and I feel the crew are more relateable then owners and charter guests.

    • @basstrammel1322
      @basstrammel1322 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Chris Ruiz You seem to have misunderstand me entirely. I'm more of a working man, and can level with the crew. I don't have to see any owners in the face to know that a good cabin is important.

    • @basstrammel1322
      @basstrammel1322 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Chris Ruiz Well... What in the world would I have in common with such a wealthy person? The balance would be waay off, from interior details to 2. and 3. holiday homes, and yachts. And stock portfolio. And all the luxury items aviable. and I have none of it. So it's quite far fetchet I've ever get to know any super yacht owners soon, as I'm faaaaaaaaar behind in the que. Just below the average Joe, which it's crawling with around such a person. Sorry, @Chris Ruiz

    Not only was it interesting to see the crew quarters, it was interesting to see the crew too! The girl (along with the rest of the crew) seemed very attractive. I was especially fond that they were so open, nice, and willing to share. Great video - and I agree with everyone else that says the bad video is actually overlooked or makes it authentic. Love all your vids Jared - thank you and keep it up!

    i went into the superyacht industry. So excited and thrilled to see what awaits for me in Monaco!!!! Got onto my first boat when we had leave, i resigned and when into the merchant navy a few months later, best decision i ever made! Not what its hyped up to be and was a deckhand learning towards becoming an engineer later down the line. Very little deckhand work and more a slave than anything else. Cleanliness was top priority than anything else including but not limited to: chipping the paint, recoats, window cleaning, rail polishing, teak cleaning of tables and deck just to name a few. Certainly paid better and more interesting working on ro-ro vessels instead superyacht bullshit that gets handed you. Pay inst great for what you do and people say its 'tax-free' and jaws drop like "OMG HE MAKES 5000 EUROES A MONTH!!" its simply NOT the case as soon as you go back to you country of the residence when you live permenantly the goverment will tax your earned salaries.

      Haha, I heard him ask too. I guess they felt a bit ‘invaded’ by a stranger & was curious. They remained professional, one invited Jared to film his room, that was courteous.

    The crew were nice. Their accommodations seemed generous which was an asset. My take is that crew staff work really hard and any boat, no matter the size, is only SO big, to have a place to retreat to must make the job much more bearable.

    Question are most boats filled with that horrible look wood or just USA ones?

    • @jaredwatney
      @jaredwatney  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah Bigger boats usually result in nicer bigger areas. Answer to your question... No, not American ones, just older ones. This boat was built in the 2000s

    Jared. I noticed that the male crew were wearing long shorts but the skirts on the female crew are some inches above the knee. I'm no prude or anything, but it would be good in this day and age to know that female crew have the choice between 2 lengths of skirt and not just short skirt or trousers. Is this the case in your experience? Or is this world still behind the times?!

    Very nice! Thank you Bluewater Yachting and the crew (and Jared) for allowing us to see the crew quarters. Those are the most spacious quarters I've seen on any yacht to date!
    Itty bitty side note: Jared, that intro music is cringe-worthy. It's like it never completes its intended melody. Other than that, loved the video. "There is a TH-cam ... station... do you call it?" XD Someone trying to sound uppity.

    Always sad to see crew cabins with ports to small to escape. After seeing the crew go down with the ship in Baja because of a fire in the galley. Safety should always come first in ship design, you can bet guest cabins all had hatches large enough to escape thru.
    Keep a chain saw in your cabin for creating an emergency exit. That's what we; the shipwrights that built the yacht did
