I love the sound of these tractors, such as gentle but powerful exhaust note!

Very memorable scent: manure, farmyard camomile and TVO!

Petrol ? Or petrol kerosene ? Petrol to start only ? Those I worked with was. Start on petrol when cold, turn to paraffin( kerosene) once warmed up ?. Can almost smell it now just watching.

Just goes to show ,if you are a real ploughman you can do a good job with any kit. I am sure this man knows his tractor and plough, but there are easier combos. Early short Ransome plough? and as previous comment the quirky nature of an e27n with it's roots way back in 1917

I don't think a 1946 Fordson Major would be built with a 3point linkage, this was just Grey Fergies back then.
My first drives were on these TVO tractors, I can smell them now

In Australia T.V.O. was known as "Power Kerosene" to distinguish it from "Lighting Kerosene". In the States T.V.O. was called "Distillate", which was confusingly the name we used for Diesel Fuel here in Australia!

I wouklnt mind a fiver for every hour I have spent on one of those. Two and a quarter cwt railroac sack tuck as a hood against the inclements.
