I followed through all 3 videos... I had no clue you could grow them in this way. I’m definitely a novice succulent gardener. Since I’m in a colder, humid region my succulents are indoors. I like the idea of multiplying my collection like rabbits!
Hi~ First of all, thank you for spending so much time to making all three videos!! I learned that I should not water or introduce sunlight to the cuttings as soon as I pot them after cutting. One question though... How come the leaves do not look like the original leaf? Do they change shape as they grow older? I am curious!
Sometimes they grow few flatleaves but most of them will be like the original plant, some grow variegation, some don't. That's how they grow, thanks for watching!
Thank you well done. Very good explanation and very good timing, nice voice. From the beginning to the final result, that's really educative, thank you👍🌱
Great videos and really informative! What happens to the mother plant where you cut the original leaf from? Does it look like the cuttings that grew the pups or does it grow from the same leaf again?
Can this be propagated in just water like the common snake plant? I have a plant like this but it's like 7-8 inches long. It lives in a small pot. Will it ever grow longer? Or do i need to transfer it to a bigger pot for it to grow longer?
Thanks for the informative video. I'd like to confirm that the cylindrical form is not maintained when you propagate using cuttings. It seemed that the new pups were not cylindrical. Can you comment on that. Thanks

Such an interesting series of videos - Thanks!
Nice video, I took one leaf and will try to grow another cylindrical plant. Wish me luck. Thank you again.
Best of luck!
Thank you...you have completed the experiment...very clear and orderly.
So nice of you
I just finished watching all 3 videos after I got a sansevieria cylindrica today and I can't wait to try this out :)

It was very interesting! Cool experiment!

So thr original cutting can be removed from the new growth? So they all have tips? Thanks.
I learned the part you cut doesn’t grow. Instead it grows new shoots.
Excellent explination
Glad you liked it
You propagate cylindica. But the pups are different know? Please tell me
Thanks for the informative video. I'd like to confirm that the cylindrical form is not maintained when you propagate using cuttings. It seemed that the new pups were not cylindrical. Can you comment on that. Thanks
Some are cylindrical and some are flat. Getting few flat pups from propagating multiple plants from a single leaf is not bad. :)
amazing... im a newbie n planting..iwill do it top my sanseveria tomorrow 😊 thnks ..ow i saw the 3 part
Best of luck!
I would like to know if new plant will be same as mother plant or different, regarding shape & color
Mostly the same. Though there are few leaves that became flat, when the plant grow big, most of the leavers are tubular again. Thanks for watching!
Why is the new growth a flat leaf and NOT cylindrical ?
just a few are flat, but mostly are cylindrical
Thank you for sharing!
Can put them now in direct sunlight?
Beautiful
Thanks for sharing ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for watching!
how long will it take to have a full grown
Hi. Can i remove the part that i cut when i will repot it?
Yes, and you can also place it in a pit amd propagate more
Very good video
Thanks for watching :)
What soil did you use? Same with plant food loam soil?
Regular garden soil mixed with some pebbles. Sansevierias are hardy plant and can easily get along with regular soil
How do I make it grow straight and thick? Mine looks split.
Hi Astronomy Spacefield! Thanks for watching! Please try to give more indirect bright light, that should make new straight and thick leaves
When can you cut off the original cutting or separate it from the new plants?
When it grows stable root system. This varies from plant to plant with regards to plant location and condition
@@succulentsforbeginners How can I separate the original cutting from the new plants?
Hi, is it ok to just stay them indoor after propagation? Without sunlight at all
yes, without sunlight at first after propagation is good to avoid dehydration
Can you help me?? I want to repot my new Bacularis. I dont know how to do it? I'm beginner. Please do help me. thank you for the answer po😃
You are great😊😊😊😊😊 year later I love it 😎😎😎😎😎
Thanks a lot :)
Easy!! Need patience
Yup, patience is the key :)
Patience is the major thing I learned through gardening this quarantine period.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
So it's not guaranteed I get a sansevieria cylindrica from a cutting. I'm not risking it then I only have one :(
Hi La Yes, good choice, Best to try to propagate with only one leaf when they have more and healthy leaves :)
Cylindrical snake plant become flat leafed one? Please reply
Maybe there are some leaves that are a little flat but most of them are round
Do the pups still look like African Spear like the mom plant? All my other snake plants didnt look like their mom when propagating without roots :(
rooted cuttings produce flat-leafed pups, while propagation by division will keep them cylindrical.
Potting mix used?
Any mix as long as its loose and not so rich with organic materials will do :)
@@succulentsforbeginners can you give me a rough estimate of how little organic material.should my potting mix should have. Thanks.
Ops!!! Qui ...non ci sono sottotitoli in Italiano....nella prima parte si!!!
