Lenny broke my heart crying that he wanted to stay on La Vagabond. It shows La Vagabond is his family’s home and not just a boat. Y’all made that possible for those baby boys. Can’t wait until the new home is finished and watching your water world continue.
If you haven’t started sailing in Asia yet, you HAVE(!!!) to sail by koh rong (especially Long Beach) and koh ring samloem, it’s in Cambodia but it’s right next to phu quock(Vietnam). It’s sooo so beautiful, the most beautiful places I’ve ever been, kind of like the Bahamas. So much nicer than phu quock which is very touristy/hotels/Russians. And the beaches are sooo beautiful, white and crystal waters 💚
I'm just at 1.50 still and as the daughter of a lighthousekeeper... All those broken down lighthouses break my heart. Lighthouses should never disappear. They are majestic and when all other equipment fail, they are still there to guide the way.
So I watched this on a 4K Tv, and I've gotta say it was like watching a movie. The cinematography is outstanding. Having been an avid viewer since lavaga #1, seeing the progression over the years makes it all the more impressive! Absolutely amazing job guys! And as always, fair winds ⛵️
It's amazing quality that sadly most don't ever capture it because they watch on their phones all the time which they have gotten very good but still don't compare to a big screen and real speakers
@@MichaelGroves777 my galaxy s21 ultra does too but it still don't compare to my 70" 4k hdr TV and surround sound. You see more details on a larger screen and phone speakers don't stand a chance against 500 watts going to 12" and 10" woofers
Once again, the cinematographic storytelling is phenomenal. The perfect combination-a bit of history, a bit of drone vistas, a bit of ADORABLE children, and a lot of fun and adventure. I know its not always grins and giggles, but my how I envy your lives. Never take for granted this AMAZING adventure, you are so richly blessed.
I've been watching SLV for about 2 years now and I'm so impressed with how much the quality of videos has improved. Don't get me wrong, the videos have always been high quality but they have REALLY stepped up their game.
Lenny is the best pathfinder scout there is. If you all had just listened to him, you wouldn't have gotten lost. When he gets older, he can join the Australian SBS and use these skills he learned traveling and put them to use.
That was quite a hike in with children. They will probably never fear anything. Very interesting video. Love seeing your children more in the videos. Travel safely.
I really liked hearing about Riley’s love of lighthouses! Lighthouses are amazing beautiful places that we need to preserve. I can’t imagine that hike with kids stuff and groceries though!
Love all your hair experiments and I loooove how supportive Riley is of all your cool hairstyles. This was a great episode, I've always been enamored with lighthouses and wanted to visit one.
Oh, Lenny weeping over the Vaga at the end, just about broke my heart. Before that, as a long, long time viewer /part time Patreon, I don't know exactly why, but this has been my all time fav episode to date! Bless you all SLV
The diversity you are giving us, in between boats is amazing....so interesting that these places exist to even stay on. I look forward to every episode and have for years...love you all NN Jude xo
Elayna, you will look gorgeous with any hair !!! xx Love all of this, apart from Lenny upset on LaVagabonde at the end although i'm sure he will love his new home!!!... xx
Absolutely stunning landscape! I can so see Lenny becoming a light house keeper haha! That's an amazing place to spend some time making memorable memories with the family! Keep exploring and stay safe!
Finally someplace very familiar. I even spotted my sister's old house as you drove through Jossingfjord. I've explored that whole part of Norway on many years since 1999, visiting from my home in Canada. You asked about the bedrock: Not limestone. It's mostly Anorthacite feldspar with titanium ore. If you like those little fjords, you should definitely go north up Norway's west coast where the fjords are far more dramatic and spectacular.
Elayna you are the one person who can pull off any color hair and make it work! Even with no hair!!😁 Lenny's hair cut makes him look like a nice gentleman!!
Always look forward to Monday evening here in Wales…….tis Vagabond night! As usual an excellent videos, what I like is that you include your children in these ventures of yours and not palm them off. Roll on next week.
THE AMAZING JOURNEY...! That's what it is. Every week your show has gone beyond just groovy sailing, and into adventures in what for most people would simply be dream worlds. Reminds of when I was young, watching the National Geographic Specials on TV. You guys have really created something totally different in the TH-cam sailing lifestyle.
Guys! I must say, I have a shhht tone of respect for the two of you having to take the long drive, hike with two kids without having to loose it. This is a lot of commitment and y’all got it made of a lot of steel 👏👏😁
Elayna, do whatever you want with hair. By doing it you are getting another level of freedom. You guys are fantastic, boys are supper sweet. Another fantastic ice water plunge! Good luck with trimaran! Riley, keep being loving dad, half-pirate and true knight! Loving your videos.
I have always wanted to go to Bali, and the idea of you guys making a kind of home base makes me very happy. I grew up in a traveling family, and as an adult creating my home base helped made me realize how much I actually felt like I needed a place to call home as a kid. I will say, maybe you should keep an eye on the news in Indonesia (I am sure that you will), but they the governemnt is trying to push legislation that will make sex outside of marriage illegal and punishable with fines and jail time. This could be particularly dangerious for tourist.
It's strange how watching this video where you are exploring with your family is helping me with my life living alone. So thank you from the bottom of my heart. Hope the ghosts are friendly and not scary. 👻👻👻
Interesting history of light houses and the strange, dark and mysterious history of the one you were staying at. I'm glad your positive energy tamped down the negative vibes you were feeling on your first night. So sweet of your hosts to think about the boys bedding and even a toy box. Although I could see way too many interesting can't touch that, the decor must have added to the experience. Love the video and can't wait to see what comes next.
Wow. Amazing pacing. A DELIGHT!!! Thanks for posting. Elayna. My wife knew a woman once - they were friends- she lived on a farm and likely still does but we haven't run into her in years- who shaved her head and it didn't grow back. Seriously. No idea if it was a hair disease or what happened there. My wife had a business that required her to visit different rural places including that farm once in a while. The kerchief that was always nearly always around this woman's head was explained. She and my wife got to know each other well, but we moved and with distance and time never kept in touch. I was at their farm a couple times but never met her. She apparently got quite shy after her hair mysteriously didn't grow back. On a happier note, I lived in Bali decades ago for a time and can't imagine visiting now- every time I see photos of it it's serious culture shock. Ubud was a sleepy artisan community of 300 people or so back then- I lived on the edge of town- and now Ubud is apparently as big as Den Pasar was back then! I cannot imagine that at all and wouldn't want to see it. But it is an amazing place and what a beautiful peaceful place it would be for a base. Cheers. Amazing video. 10 out of 10.
I honestly feel as though I have found old friends again. I thought that you guys retired from sailing with the kiddos. I just decided to clean out old subscriptions from YT and see that you are still making vids. I started with this as I also love the Light Houses! Your family excursions are just so entertaining and surprising. I know we have a lot of lighthouses in Norway, but never thought you were visiting one!

But they are also more sensitive to climate change because they are even more slow growing that tropical coral reefs.
I’m 44 and shaved my head probably 4 or 5 years ago. It’s the best. It may not suit my looks but I don’t care. It feels great and is so easy to take care of. It super easy to cut your own hair and all together cheaper. If you feel like doing it go for it. You may be surprised at how much you love it
Super production and the boys are really growing fast! You both have done so many wonderful things in all the years since I have been following you since the first episode and I have always admired you both! You have been a true inspiration. I lived and worked in Bali for three years with two boys of similar age to Lenny and Darwin and both of my boys went to pre-school and International schools there, however I’m so happy we left when we did. It’s not the paradise everyone thinks it is. Anyway I wish you both continued success and keep the superb production coming! Looking forward to seeing the new Trimaran!
I’m so binging your channel right now…. I watch other couples travel channels & they’re so annoying & oblivious…. I love how conscious u are of the history & ecosystems of the places u visit, and also educating us. I get a bit nervous watching the kids, I just can’t help it…. But they’re adorable… safe travels & new subscriber here
"The water's big and you can't make any sense about it. It's too big. *blubbers* Amd I'm a ninja." 😭😭😭 I think I've bingewatched every vlog of La Vagabond from the very beginning til this one.. and hearing Lenny talks in a full sentence without stuttering or whatnot just goes to show he and this channel have grown soooo much omg 😭 plus dare I say the cleancut of his hair makes him looks so grownup 🥲 gosh time flies by so fast
Lenny is an absolute legend, he’s grown up so much, we luv his hair cut, luv watching your content, cheers Alana & Rob. Shave your head, you’re still look awesome Elayna
Aww, Rekefjord ❤️ I grew up going to my grandmothers cabin there. It is really strange (and fun!) to see your reaction to things (the interiors, the landscape) that are so normal and familiar to me. Hope you had a blast!
Riley in aTuxedo is like putting Peanut Butter on a Tuna Fish sandwich, just shouldnt be done! love the editing you both do, and the history lesson is a nice bonus. here for the long haul, 3 yrs now and enjoying all of the growth your family has endured and the growth of the channel!
It was nice to see @0:36 is a ship from Iceland, Opal, original build in Germani in 1951 as a trawler. The company Norðursigling is taking people to Greenland and many other places on that ship. This is a hybrid ship and can sail on batteries for about 8 hours if there is no wind.
It’s always lovely to see you all on your random adventures as your waiting for your new home to be built. 👍❣️❣️ how cool was that yo stay in a van light house.👍👍😃😃 Riley, but of course you would have an interest fir them.👍 the boys are growing soooo fast, as they do. It was adorable to see Lenny crying at the end, sweet boy - his home is the Vagabond “, but of course will soon be enjoying your new boat-home. So very excited for you all.❣️❣️❣️❣️ thanks for sharing. Safe travels 🌺🌺🌺🌺
Loved the reflection of the tiny coloured Norwegian houses against the water. Spectacular!. Oh dear Lenny crying to stay on Vagabond, was nearly in tears myself. GOSH! You two scrub up super well! Both of you looking stunning in your glam attire. Looking forward to your Asian adventures. Luv from Katoomba
What and incredible experience! I love seeing what other adventures you get up to when you guys aren’t on the boat, but I’m very keen to see you guys sail again. Can’t wait to see the new boat
Definitely shave it! There is nothing more liberating than having nothing to hide behind. I was bald for most of cancer treatment and it was such a great way to discover who I was and what I wanted the rest of my life to be.
hey riles back in the day me my ex my bro and his gf spent 2weeks on dent island out from shute harbour. this was the 70;s so the light had the same mantle as a camping light. every 45 mins had to hand crank the weight back up to the top. one keeper was an ex chef, heavy salvage guy and had the biggest shell collection i ve ever seen. the other keeper made fresh giant loaves ready for brekky. him and his wife adopted 5 kids all different nationalities, then a miracle she got pregnant despite the so called medical experts. light houses a lot more stories , me n my ex travelled oz in the 70's in an eh holden 64 wagon. it took 3 yrs mainly the coast! cape byron, cape leeuwin, bunbury were still manned back then. now byron is a very expensive holiday stay. dent went auto in the 80's solar powered. i remember when u cruised by dent island brought so many memories back
Hi folks, always loved lighthouses as they're so unique and picturesque. Lenny and Darwin are the cats meow. I guess you would say this is one of the larger ones around the world. I like your red hair for a change Elena and you would still look very pretty with your hair shaved off. So many rooms wow. Riley Thanks for the history lesson and your Razzle Dazzle comedy. Fjord is a strange sounding name and enchanting. I remember a Hollywood movie I think way back in the late 40s or early 50s called the ghost and Mrs Muir. The mail star was an English actor and the female a USA actress but it was set amongst the fjords a Scandinavian country. Oceans and waves like you are seeing in this episode. Well I've jabbered enough so take care, watch out for the seagulls and catch you next time around, thanks much for inviting us along, bon voyage.
The bit from the beginning about navigation modernizing really hit home for me. I just got home from a 6 hour flight exam, and I kept thinking during the 4 hour oral portion GOSH this is so much simpler without all this stupid technology! Flying a plane used to be freeing, now it’s all regulations! Of course, that was all feelings of the moment, I can’t imagine a flight without my iPad and all its infinite knowledge in my lap, it’s a miracle really. But you still have to admire the beauty and simplicity of the past. Thanks for sharing 💗 (I passed btw!) PS, I love the hair Elayna. It’s fun!
What you saw there were not fjords. A fjord is a deep, narrow and elongated sea or lake channel with steep land on three sides. An example is Geiranger Fjord, which is absolutely beautiful.
I can not believe that you drove past my little place on earth! Twice! After I have watched you sailing down on the other side of the world for years, you end up driving away on my little stretch of archipelago and fjords, where I have spent all my summers seasons on boats. I could have written endlessly about this video..all from the musky old smell to all the beautiful lighthouses around the coast.
I love that comment; Life is too short, so do what ever you want." And that is what I am doing. Love you guys and looking forward to see the Tri-maran..
Thank you for another great video of your journey. I love your new hair Elayna. I really need to thank Kara and Nate for showing me your channel. You are amazing family.
Colonel mustard In the stairwell with the candle stick holder lol that was the first thing I thought about when Riley had his head on the floor in the stairwell
I think the hole with no ladder is called a coffin drop. It's what it sounds like. My grandfather had one on his extremely old English cottage, because the angle of the stairs was too tight around the around 1 up 1 down original house, if someone dies upstairs, you need a way to lower them down. Even more spooky .....x
What incredible editing - searching for the additional clips must have taken forever, so well done. For sure - shave your head Elayna - yes it grows back. Love it.
Such epic drone shots and beautiful scenery! What an interesting history. Your boys are so smart and adorable. Love your hair Elayna! Live each precious moment. ❤ Blessings and much Aloha 🙏💜🌎☮️🌎💜🙏🛥⚓️
You have come a long way. I recall when you started out together. Before Riley was fully on board with TH-cam. Learning to sail. I was not sure you would make it as a couple. And now lining up for a 60-foot carbon tri. And living as a family on these adventures. Quite the interesting life.
2:47 Elena's hair is the crown achievement of a metamorphosis from Australian bush teenager into Leelo 5th-element that will save the world with Love goddess and ultimate weapon (incarnated by Milla Jovovich in the movie, a woman not to be mad to be compared to) Continue to be awesome and may your journey be joyful.
Amazing episode guys. I live in NC and we have many lighthouses here. Preservation is important. Elena, I love everything you do w your hair! Beautiful fam, proud to be part of the crew for years now ❤
Elayna, I'm with you on the buzz cut because life's too short! I buzzed my hair in college twice. It was so freeing, everyone told me I had the face for it (which I think you do too!), and it was just fun for my Enneagram 4 self to be so different and buck the usual feminine hair expectations. Maybe you are feeling the Norwegian vibes there, too, because they do some of the coolest haircuts and just rock them. I love Lenny's cut right now too! So cool.
Y'all made it to the north which you talked about years ago...really a trip to remember red hair & all! The boys are getting bigger & 2 u are way beyond your dreams! I still remember the night u snuck on the new Vaga! I am anxious for your next home & sailing adventure!!! Luv "ya

Agree, I think if you were going to live there on semi permanent basis might be safer to be married.
Not just sex but also cohabitation outside of marriage has been criminalized (for foreigners and citizens alike)
You might want to check the new laws there out before heading to Bali. 12 months in prison for couples who are not married staying together there.
the law does not apply to foreigners tho

I’m 44 and shaved my head probably 4 or 5 years ago. It’s the best. It may not suit my looks but I don’t care. It feels great and is so easy to take care of. It super easy to cut your own hair and all together cheaper. If you feel like doing it go for it. You may be surprised at how much you love it
Love you guys!!!! Can't wait for the new content on that awesome boat
If Elana is going to rock the hair, she should consider the rest of the outfit from the Fifth Element. 😜
Beautiful, rustic landscape, great place to stay. Lennie is talking so much, great to see how the children are growing x
Dont stress about your hair,Elana. It suits you. You look sweet
I’m so binging your channel right now…. I watch other couples travel channels & they’re so annoying & oblivious…. I love how conscious u are of the history & ecosystems of the places u visit, and also educating us. I get a bit nervous watching the kids, I just can’t help it…. But they’re adorable… safe travels & new subscriber here
Brilliant ! One of your Top 10 land based vids. The ginger look scared off all the ghosts !! 🏆
"The water's big and you can't make any sense about it. It's too big. *blubbers* Amd I'm a ninja." 😭😭😭
I think I've bingewatched every vlog of La Vagabond from the very beginning til this one.. and hearing Lenny talks in a full sentence without stuttering or whatnot just goes to show he and this channel have grown soooo much omg 😭 plus dare I say the cleancut of his hair makes him looks so grownup 🥲 gosh time flies by so fast
The shot of the two of you at the end all decked out at the boat show. Holy Cow! Spectacular!
Looking at the furnitures …Can you imagine how they brought it up…
Such adventure… love it.
I've been following you guys for years and the quality of your content just gets better every time. Looking forward to the new yacht.
It's absolutely BEAUTIFUL there all the little home around there omgosh!! Such a beautiful experience! Thanks for taking us along!!
So entertaining. Nice combo of family, history, humor and adventure. Rather watch this than anything on television.
I was bald for most of cancer treatment and it was such a great way to discover who I was and what I wanted the rest of my life to be.
hey riles back in the day me my ex my bro and his gf spent 2weeks on dent island out from shute harbour. this was the 70;s so the light had the same mantle as a camping light. every 45 mins had to hand crank the weight back up to the top. one keeper was an ex chef, heavy salvage guy and had the biggest shell collection i ve ever seen. the other keeper made fresh giant loaves ready for brekky. him and his wife adopted 5 kids all different nationalities, then a miracle she got pregnant despite the so called medical experts. light houses a lot more stories , me n my ex travelled oz in the 70's in an eh holden 64 wagon. it took 3 yrs mainly the coast! cape byron, cape leeuwin, bunbury were still manned back then. now byron is a very expensive holiday stay. dent went auto in the 80's solar powered. i remember when u cruised by dent island brought so many memories back
Wow, what a great experience. Those boys are so blessed. What an amazing life they are having. Great fun..loved it.
You guys are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! I love all your episodes but this one is truly on another level, just WOW!!!!!
Hi from Florida. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thanks and Be Safe.
Fortunately you are blessed with the ability to look amazing no matter what you do. Be safe.
Thanks for sharing 💗 (I passed btw!)
PS, I love the hair Elayna. It’s fun!
What you saw there were not fjords. A fjord is a deep, narrow and elongated sea or lake channel with steep land on three sides. An example is Geiranger Fjord, which is absolutely beautiful.
I'd seen this episode before, but I just had to enjoy it one more time. Beautiful, exciting and scary, (watching the kids) all at the same time.
Always amazing videos.
Wonderful family. Living
A Wonderful life
Thank you for letting us
be a part of it .
Party on La Vagabond !
Beautiful for sure!! Till next time take care and be safe out there!!
Holy smokes, the red carpet attire coming up next week is stunning!
Absolutely beautiful video. Am so enjoying watching your little family grow.
Lived in Jakarta when I was a kid and it was the best time. We loved going to Bali and Pulau Seribu. Your kids will love it!
Colonel mustard In the stairwell with the candle stick holder lol that was the first thing I thought about when Riley had his head on the floor in the stairwell
Little boys about that age are just the best. Everything is surprising and life hasn’t ruined them yet.
Absolutely beautiful ! Our family just spent 4 days in a tree house ! Was amazing… thanks for sharing…
One of my favs! Lenny is so darling! “And the water is so big you can’t make any sense about it!” 😂😂💚💚💚
What incredible editing - searching for the additional clips must have taken forever, so well done. For sure - shave your head Elayna - yes it grows back. Love it.
We just happened to watch this video. You two and your family are adorable. Great video. All the best!
Such epic drone shots and beautiful scenery! What an interesting history. Your boys are so smart and adorable. Love your hair Elayna! Live each precious moment. ❤ Blessings and much Aloha 🙏💜🌎☮️🌎💜🙏🛥⚓️
I love how you are telling history.. and making this so educational
I just love this channel. I probably have a smile on my face the whole time as I watch. Cheers for making such a great escape for all of us to enjoy
You have come a long way. I recall when you started out together. Before Riley was fully on board with TH-cam. Learning to sail. I was not sure you would make it as a couple. And now lining up for a 60-foot carbon tri. And living as a family on these adventures. Quite the interesting life.
2:47 Elena's hair is the crown achievement of a metamorphosis from Australian bush teenager into Leelo 5th-element that will save the world with Love goddess and ultimate weapon (incarnated by Milla Jovovich in the movie, a woman not to be mad to be compared to)
Continue to be awesome and may your journey be joyful.
Luv "ya
The kids are growing so fast! And Riley, I love the history!
