Been following since La Vagabonde the 1st, I have to say I'm increasingly impressed every episode by how good your cinematography and storytelling skills has gotten over the years. The effort shows! Truly amazing!!
Great video.. Very jealous of your lifestyle but after recent travels to US Canada and Japan where I was exhausted I think I'm better off living on my farm and watching you guys do it way better than I ever would 😀
Love how Darwin got upset looking at you both swimming then you reassured him all was good and he snapped back into looking at you two, another ripper vid guys thank you 👍👍
On behalf of everyone here, I think we are all so glad to see you both back out on and in the water! Those Manta Rays were MASSIVE, they are absolutely majestic and so beautiful, and loved those facts, thanks for sharing them! What an amazing experience! Hopefully one day when your two little sailors are older they can go on those adventures with you!
Didn't think it was possible, but the quality of your videos just keeps getting better -- the storytelling, the cinematography, the emotional investment you create in the viewer -- it easily surpasses so many lifestyle shows on network TV. You do it with charm, grace, and cheeky Aussie humor, and you do it every damn week! I'm astounded and in awe. Well done.
You make us feel like world travelers, students...because we are always learning new things, extended grandparents because we get to watch your boys grow up before our eyes, and though we most likely won't ever be cruisers in real life, we get to travel along with you. And that makes us happy!
It doesn't get any better than this, the stories, the videography, the editing and your beautiful families journey I have followed for ever. You make my life better.
I didn't realize Manta Rays were so massive and so little of them left. Elayna your smile was so big! Such an awesome experience. Thank you for taking us along on all your adventures.
This was like an OG SLV video, such beautiful scenes edited so lovingly. The shots of you both swimming with the rays gave me goosebumps! Love your work Riley and Elayna!!
Wow that was amazing! The cinematography was first class! Those are incredible creatures, sad to think there are only 1,000. What an experience for you both. Loved the part with the kids. Lenny could care less and poor Darwin was scared for mom and dad. Real family moment right there. Can’t wait for next week!
Bucket list diving with manta rays- what an experience! You’re complete troupers dealing with kids and sickness whilst remaining so positive and keeping up the filming 💯 Thank you 🙏🏼 🧜♀️🧜🏻♂️

me and Craig both went 'WOAAHHHHH' at the same time! MADNESS- what an experience. I remember trying to do this in the same spot years ago and it being rough when we went. LOTS of sick people on the boat, you guys did so well
what a life your kids have, i remember when you guys were barely a couple starting the channel and now seeing your whole family just feels amazing, cheers to the vagabonde family
I loved watching you and Reily swimming with the manta rays they are so beautiful and sad to know they are endangered I’m glad things turned out well even with family being sick in between love from New Zealand❤
The swim with the manta rays was epic, I'm really amazed at how majestic and seemingly friendly they were! It really reminded me of the scene in Avatar 2 with the tulkuns! Another great video, thanks for sharing with us 🫶👌🏻
At first I was petrified when you two got so close to those six Manta Rays, unbelievable, they must have sensed you meant no harm. You could see their eye move with you as you swam by. Incredible footage.
I just have to say because of you guys, we bought our catamaran in May of 2020 and my husband finally made it to the Bahamas 2 weeks ago. Currently anchored outside of Hope Town!! Dream come true!!
Wow, I’ve always loved Pantera is since I was four years old going out on my father’s trip fishing boat off of sunny isles beach Florida. Course I’m talk in the 50s and 60s. I spent all the summers on that 63 footers converted Arasi rescue, which is the little sister to the PT 109 hens 63 feet. Anyway, I had the pleasure of seeing a few and then when my dad passed away, I took his ashes, and at Dawn scattered them in the cut where he had gone in and out of for 30 years. Just as I scatter the ashes, a beautiful leopard ray with those beautiful spots came up and went right through his ashes, which is perfect, considering he was from Gloucester, Massachusetts in those people are of the ocean for sure. It was so beautiful, so I so understand how you guys were moved by those beautiful creatures. I wish more people would understand how wonderful the animal world is and how much we have to lose, but we should watch and look for them now. Unfortunately, I probably won’t be able to do that anymore but I’m so glad your kids will. Much love and admiration. Kisses
Having been watching you for very long actually found you thru another couple I've been following for quite awhile..Find your family such a pleasure to watch so different from raising my own family thru the 70's and 80's..Your generation has Soooo much more courage than ours did while raising kids..I'm enjoying watching your moments of joy an sorrow you share with us..many Blessing for You an Yours..🙏❤️
Loved your swim with the manta rays! I remember seeing a whole school if them in the 70's when we were flying between Oahu and Maui! Even from the air, you could tell that they were gigantic! Thanks for that video! Yes, love manta rays!
Now that was a sacred, divine, primordial, defining experience! How could anything get more awesome than that!? I am forever changed just for watching that video - I can't fathom what it would be like to have actually lived it. This is why you do what you do - namaste & thank you!
The other day I was watching a video when a seagull started squawking in the background. I automatically assumed that someone was cursing up a storm before realizing that this wasn’t an SLV video, it was just a real bird 😂
Awe... Poor Lenny hope he is feeling a lot better. And how sweet when Darwin was upset he was watching so intently so worried for his mommy. Thank you for sharing that dive with us. I will never get to see anything like that so to see it through your eyes was really cool.
What a magical adventure... seeing you swimming with the rays just brought tears. Such beautiful creatures! Thank you for sharing your encounter. Glad everyone seems to be feeling better now. Hope you can enjoy some vacation time in that gorgeous area.

I started following you after the Greta episodes. Being a Swede living in Sydney those episodes spoke a lot to me. Started watching all episodes from day one and I can’t tell you enough how much I enjoy them. You are such a beautiful story teller and the videos always makes me smile (and cry). It has been a way for me to just get away and fogey about everything else and they have helped me a tremendous amount during hard times. So thank you. Keep it up and be happy. You guys deserve it.
I was not able to watch your videos for almost like a year because of a new job. Now, I am on a week off work and I am soooo happy to binge watching. I missed a lot hahahaha! Thanks for sharing your life, your family and your adventure. Take care, you guys. More videos please, so therapeutic watching all of them. Keep safe and know that you live a life that some only dream of :)
My little heart is exploding with happiness, me and hubby just had our month honeymoon in Bali, we spent a week over on nusa Lembongan at dream huts and getting to see you guys I joy it too is the best feeling 🤍
I've watched from the start. I used to look forward to your videos but in my opinion this channel has officially become the Kardashians of the sea. Best wishes from a former subscriber. I'd recommend: salt and tar, odd life crafting, sailing yaba
What a magical experience diving with those Manta's. That just brought me pure bliss watching!!! Thank you guys for sharing such beautiful moments as that.
If you had just shown me a video of the manta rays without a human next to them, I would have had no idea how big they were. That seriously blew me away. They are such beautiful creatures and I really loved how well put together this video was.
Crikey! Lembongan has changed a bit since my mates and I surfed it in the early 80s. No motorised transport back then. Sailed a prahu from the beach at Sanur, and stayed with Johnny Tarzan and his family in their losman right on the beach in front of lacerations and shipwrecks. Looks good now too. Those Mantas are special. So are you guys. Thanks for taking me back.
Glad everyone is back to better!! Sending loving an healing vibes! I'm very excited for the future adventures of the latest the induration of S/V La Vagabond!! Guy's you both have worked tirelessly for many years now.. Please Kno I admire both your grit an determination to get wherever you need to be an Riley ... Your the best Dad an partner to Elaina. To create an fullfil dreams, you need to be a team.. an your both amazing examples of that!!! Any hoo enough of my Bla Bla Bla's... Lucky if anyone reads my book... 😁😉 I just am grateful for what you do an share as you do not have to..!! ✌🏼💗😊⛵
A magnificent integration of Athletic Greens! They will love you for it. Elayna would win a Mrs. Universe contest! Two children! Loved the underwater footage, even though the fish got in the way.
SLV Crew - Wonderful vid as usual. Sorry I referred to La Vagabond III, as II. My screw up. As to the Mantas, I only once got to swim by them, and they were no where near as large as the ones you cavorted with. Stunningly beautiful. Funny (well, funny sad), how Darwin was so concerned, but yet, you were right there with him, when he saw the vid. Education is a process, and clearly, he went thru a bit of it there and then. Regardless, a lot of fun. Hope everyone's feeling a bit finer.
I laughed out loud with the MACAW debate - thanks for bridging us to much joy! I appreciate the raw parenting realness..."I feel guilty I'm having such a great time while youre sick, but GOTTA live it up!" YES :)
You guys looks more happy in this video, than I´ve seen in a long while :) Riley has a warmth in his eyes when looking at Elayna and the camera (alright, he DID have a fever haha, but still..) And Elayna´s glowing eyes and warm smile gives me a "Old man´s crush" on her, even more than usual haha. Love you guys :)
🤣😂🐒🐓Riley's humor about the uhmm, 'towel' and the 'monkeys' LOL And Alayna I just could not contain the burst out loud WOOOOOWWWW when we first see the manta swim by you in the beginning...just truly amazing!!! Darwin's concern for you both while watching the video of you swim with them...awww he's just so sweet. Hope you all are getting better health wise. Can't wait to see the next installment video! God Bless!!!
Those manta rays heaven sent. Beautiful creatures thank you for the upload so much enjoyed this video what an amazing experience. Praying you all feel better soon. ♥️♥️
Those are some excellent examples of Manta Rays used to see them frequently in the late 60's and 70's not so much any more. Looks like good progress on the boat looking forward to that.
Mantas are so graceful. They really come down to look at you - so inquisitive but they move effortlessly. I still count this as a awesome dive - watching them at a feeding station in the Maldives 👍🙏
I’m completely dead after a day of hustling like crazy… watching this just gave me back so much energy and motivation to keep going. You guys are epic, thank you so much for sharing!
You guys are truly legends ! Thanks for sharing your amazing adventures. What an amazing opportunity to swim with such majestic creatures!!!! Love it!!
That was awesome how you guys can swim and photograph under water. I have always been impressed how calm you are under water. Love your channel. Been watching since the beginning.

Wow, thank you! We worked really hard on this one. 🤓
DITTO!! I'm definitely a SLVD RIDE OR DIE!!!
Our little one just had croop and covid at the same time such a horrible experience. Glad everything worked out.
Love how Darwin got upset looking at you both swimming then you reassured him all was good and he snapped back into looking at you two, another ripper vid guys thank you 👍👍
The boys are so sweet. Darwin’s lil cry when seeing you guys swim with those giants. Hope Lenny is feeling better
Right, Darwin did not like the look of those 'monster'-looking things swimming near his Mama.
On behalf of everyone here, I think we are all so glad to see you both back out on and in the water! I am speechless. They were HUGE! Thank you for bringing me peace in a rather stormy day of my life
I am DYING LAUGHING at the Macaw/Macaques debacle. Y’all are too funny! Love this episode, the Mantas we’re absolutely breath taking 💕
You make us feel like world travelers, students...because we are always learning new things, extended grandparents because we get to watch your boys grow up before our eyes, and though we most likely won't ever be cruisers in real life, we get to travel along with you. And that makes us happy!

Its just great to watch something totally different from the dramas we are living through here in the UK and Europe. Thanks guys.

Manta rays can’t hurt you anyway 🥰
Awww poor Darwin got upset and then was boom watching all over again. So sweet about hi Momma. Love the videos!
All I can say is WOW!!! Everything about this video was just perfection! The cinematography was just so freaking beautiful!

When a macaque looks in the mirror, does he see himself or a marquese? Lol at you two and at Riley saying he was going to macaque his towel.
