When you do the firmware update don’t use a computer with USB 3.0 or higher or it could brick your system. It bricked my 1st one and I had to update a 2nd one on a much older laptop to avoid using USB 3.0. I was going to try and update the 2nd one on my newer computer but had researched it and found that several people had the same issue with very similar circumstances so I decided to fix my old laptop and use it since it didn’t have USB 3.0. It updated without any issues on the non USB 3.0 computer.

Connect it to either a monitor or a TV. No need to connect it to the computer.
When mine gets here I’m going to use with my projector. Can’t wait!
