The Pap of Glencoe | Sgorr na Cìche | Scotland

- Known in Gaelic as Sgòrr na Cìche, the Pap of Glencoe is a familiar landmark around the lower end of the glen and Loch Leven. Despite its modest height, it is a sensational viewpoint and gives a short but steep and very rough hillwalk.
TERRAIN
Steep and boggy climb on a very eroded and rough path to the ridge; the final ascent of the Pap is rocky and almost a scramble. Walk Highlands www.walkhighlands.co.uk/fortw...
We did this in January, the day after Storm Aiysha. It did not go like this 😂, we couldn't summit due to wind and hail. The last 40m were impossible due to ice. Lovely to see it in good conditions 😊
It’s a nice wee hill. But it’s certainly deceiving! Bigger than you think in amongst the giants. 😁👍

Great views and lovely weather. Not done it myself - heard it was an awful scree slog and even worse on descent. Nice for a hot sunny day by the looks of things though.
Na its actually a very nice outing. Not really all that bad in terms of scree at all. One for a good weather day just to get those views though. 😃 👍

Ive got 8 days in a log cabin near the foot of the Pap Of Glencoe next August -look forward to climbing that and one or two others .Just returned south after a few days exploring the Arrochar Alps and climbed Ben Donich at the magnificent Rest And Be Thankful -beautiful area ....Always love your videos- thanks for sharing them .

Yeah really enjoyed this after a few tough days further north. Wee peak but not to be underestimated. We seen several people turning back, including families! It was toasting hot 🥵 though!

We were just messing around on the rocks. In hindsight I should probably have made it clearer that there’s a good path and you don’t need to scramble. We’re all big boys and girls though eh! 😊👍

Wow! What a great video. Thanks for sharing. My partner and I are visiting Scotland for the first time in a couple of weeks and we're thinking of doing this hike. I'm curious, in your opinion how difficult are the scrambling parts that you briefly showed in the video. Was the way down equally as challenging? I wonder if this hike may be more difficult than we had imagined.
Hi Julio, It’s very easy and probably won’t be anything you’ll be stuck with. There’s several points to go up. Mind your step and you’ll both be fine I’m sure. Check the weather first!
