Hey nice one I got this exact model on my shelf. Was one of the nicest Revell models I have built :)
I have built this kit at least 4 times over the years, custom and stock, mild modifications and full cut and fill. It really is a great base of a kit. I think you will enjoy the build. Points to be mindful of - take care removing the front glass from the sprue it has a tendency to crack down the center. Also in my opinion the only way to get the front and rear lowers to look right is to install them and sand smooth before paint but it will require a bit more fiddling during final assembly.
I built this some time ago and am really looking forward to seeing this series. I'm hoping to get a lot of ideas as I'm sure yours will be infinitely better than my own
I've this same kit. Had it for years. Now I could possibly follow along with the build.
for a future video, here my idea ;)
to bring you out of your "comfort zone" how about a rallye car, that is dirty? don't get me wrong, your builds and paintjobs are awesome, but maybe try something new? and what would be cooler, than a dirty/muddy rallye car?
greetings from germany
Good idea! 👌
Or maybe a Dakar racer or Baja 1000 racer.
I have this model. It’s a nice kit. I did it in raven black.
I’m currently buying 4 more to do the other colors the car came in. Candy Apple red, sapphire blue,Wimbledon white and ivy green.
Looking forward to seeing the build. Stay safe 🍻🌲
I have built the Revell USA version. The back seat parts are not for different versions, but for only one version. enjoy the build. Cheers from Wisconsin USA
I have the 66 Shelby GT350 variant in my collection waiting to be built someday. I'll probably paint it white and use the blue decal stripes like the 65 version had. These are one of my favorite body style Mustangs. So much you can do with them. Endless possibilities.
You and hpiguys workshop are who I follow nowadays on TH-cam for model building videos. Laid back atmosphere. I like it a lot. You go more into detail with your builds, and Chris from hpiguys workshop builds his simple.
Nice! I literally finished my gt350h a couple days ago. Now to see how the pros do it
Very nice kit . Looks great , great information .
Built this kit a year ago, it is nice and easy to build. But I prefer the wipers and door handles not to be moulded into the body. The gold Hertz Shelby stripes reacted ever so slightly with the automotive acrylic laquer I used, it was not a wrinkle or crinkle reaction, more a slight mottle of the gold colour. This probably could of been avoided if I had sprayed a lighter first coat of laquer and allowed it to dry longer before applying heavier coats. All in all the model still lools good, it is cheap to buy and worth the money. Usually I use metal foil for chrome body moulding details, but this time I used a Molotov Chrome Pen, and it turned out quite nice, foil still looks better.
Would LOVE to see you build the Batmobile from the classic '60s television show!!!!
Hey I’m actually doing two of these at the moment I’m just about to finish the first one tomorrow it is metallic red with white seats and red carpet
I may have to get one of these as this was the first muscle car I ever rode in back in about 1971.
Mike
Check out the emberglo color - it was a special Ford color, only available in 1966. It has a beautiful copper shine and is just perfect for a Mustang - seeing a Mustang in this color you can really imagine how it was cruising along on Arizona roads back in the 60s. Greetings from Germany, enjoy the built!
Great kit Good video ! Thanks ! Blessings
Great model kit. 💪
Nice unboxing! 👍👍👍👍
Love lthat modle that you have👍
Got the same kit in the stash. Painting black cars isn't my forté as we all know that black shows all imperfections
This is going to be good!
I`ve got this model, too, in the American box. I`m Canadian
So an old one ! That was my very first car model 11 years ago)
I believe some parts are on the chrome tree as a matter of economics for the most efficient casting.
This means that certain parts are chromed just because they are on the chrome tree, and not because they should be chrome.
Possible future build: Subaru gc8 (22b street style) would be SWEET
The first model i ve built
Same.......but i have yet to build mine.........one rainy day......
This is my exact first model 😂
I built this last year - it was all going OK until it got to the gold stripes on the bonnet - I would definitely paint those on if I built it again.
I wonder if you are using more aftermarket mods for this... 🤔
Also, the Mustang logos on sides near the front wheels shouldn't really be on the 350 H - they were from the standard Mustang only I tho k.
@@BOABModels lol yeah those stripes were crap... I had to spray them on mine....
@@smajl2 I would do that if I got another one. Revell very kindly sent me a new decal sheet.
Awesome, I have it too 😁😄😅
Did this ever get built?
It's a Great kit. I thought you've built one before??? I'll be watching
Nope. That was an AMT mustang fastback in to an eleanor
And also the revell 67 fastback
Please tell me you chose Sapphire Blue with Gold Stripes?! Would love to see this built using one of the alternative colors that were available back in the day.
All will be revealed soon....... 😅
More mustangs
Sir does this have to be a Revell Shelby Mustang GT350 H #07242 that you show, or can it be a Revell Monogram 1/24 Shelby Mustang GT 350H Model Kit 85-2482? Is there that much difference in these models? stay safe thanks Ralph
Pretty sure those are the same kits with a different box
@@TheScalemodelingChannel this morning i did some more searching and "Scalemates" website says "new decals"
I’m guessing this will be converted to Eleanor with USCP transkit.
Incorrect year for the Cage Elenor.
The uscp kit only needs the chassis. And a couple other small parts.
Is this new release? I never see it
Nope. Atleast 15 years old
Have you finished this kit?
Yes. With a conversion kit to an eleanor style
Decals fall apart. 😳
Oh, it’s Revell again?
Partialy. Just wait till tomorrow
@@TheScalemodelingChannel love the history behind the rent-a-racer mustangs
@@TheScalemodelingChannel Is there anything else??
Yes. You’ll see
Doing an AMT Shelby GT500 currently and it is nowhere near as nice as this kit... I wish it was. When I opened it, I was greeted by baby puke green plastic sprues, was good for a laugh at least.
