Nope, if I'm having trouble mixing something I'll usually start off mixing it against a pink noise sample and then make minor alterations to the levels of certain elements. For example, I'll turn textures way below where pink noise would place them in the mix and I'll turn kick/clap/snare/808s above where pink noise would place them. The mixes dont need to be absolutely perfect. If someone ever records on one of these beats an actual engineer could polish it up more if they needed to.
My studio engineer colleague uses this sonarworks stuff for his headphone and monitor outputs. And the calibration worked very well for him. The good thing is you can use it at three workstations I think. So not bad for professional applications I guess. I personally don't need it at home to build beats or record demo tracks.
