That's such an encouragement. Thank you. I do hope you finish your project and proudly display it somewhere it can be appreciated. It sounds like an exciting piece of art. 🤗
So excited to find your videos. I am fiber artist who has mostly done needle felting embellished with embroidery but of late wanted to include fabric collage in some of my pieces. Your techniques are exactly what I needed to maintain the textural quality of my pieces!!! Thank you so much. You are a wonderful teacher!
That's so kind of you. Thanks so much. There are so many ways to work with fabric - this was a fun way to include as many as possible in one piece. I am so glad you enjoyed it. 🤗
I've just subscribed to your channel to learn more hand-stitching techniques. Thank you for sharing so much information. I would really appreciate more close-ups, while you are stitching and while preparing the fabric (folding, gathering, etc.). Nothing wrong with moving the camera in closer sometimes or using the close-up function. You don't have to have the whole piece of work showing all the time.
Hi there. Thanks for your feedback. I run my chanel on a shoestring and have a very simple set up. I do try to do closer shots where possible, but my camera doesn't have a close up function or optical zoom so closeups either mean lower resolution or resetting my camera mid-stitch. One day I hope I'll have a great camera so that I can zoom in and out more easily but for now, it's not easy. I hope as you follow my videos through the year, you'll see some improvements along the way. X
WOW! You are so creative. I probably won't do the block but there are some techniques I definitely will try later. Thanks for sharing your wonderful ocean scene.
what a fabulous video - thanks so much for including 'trapunto' Rebecca. Thanks so much. I really like feather stitch for fish scales - worked so that they are quite shallow. There are loads of ways to do it though. Your piece sounds great. 😊
