    oversized jeans are not a tend just because of skaters in my opinion, they might stop being mainstreanm but skaters will always wear them even if they stop being popular, thats how it has always been, skaters have been using baggy pants since the 90s and they probably aren't gonna stop, heck, they survived the 2010s skinny jeans era

      I totally agree. I just think gen pop will not wear them. Skaters are a percent of a percent

    what do you think about diesel? D-Strukt and Sleenker have been the best fitting for me

      I have never tried their stuff, but seem like a large denim brand with plenty of options.

    wide straight leg cuts have historical references in workwear my man, also check out Japanese selvedge

    • @Brent_Fiore
      @Brent_Fiore  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Key word being historical. I am not talking about out workwear, more about style. But some people can pull off the wide leg? Also 3/4 pairs of denim in this are made in Japanese denim mills. Faded AGs are Kaihara denim, darker AGs are Nakashima Selvage Denim from Shinohara Textile, and the Light wash are from Kuroki Mills in Okayama, Japan.

      @@Brent_Fiore right, I was referring to the common theme that enduring styles have historical references... Which disagrees with your comment about other cuts besides slim, tapered, and straight being simple trends. Yes, many, if not most, people can pull off a wide leg fairly well. I meant Japanese brands that have been around for a long time. I see you linked Self Edge and Blue Owl, do you have a favorite Japanese brand on either site?

      Good point! I hear you. And my fave is probably ONI. Their stuff is just done so well. I have yet to own a pair but that might be my next one.

      @@Brent_Fiore nice, my first raw selvedge pair was the 20 oz secret 288zr. They were too big for me when I lost some weight so I had to sell them. I picked up the 222 super wide last fall and I wear them all the time, they're very comfortable and easy to style, love that hairy texture too. I got the Sugarcane Hawaii at the same time but the 222 gets all my attention. Maybe the Hawaii will shine during summer with lighter/smaller tops.

    Rag and bones quality went downhill lately, I rather buy a Uniqlo pair

    • @Brent_Fiore
      @Brent_Fiore  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I feel that. They have a nicer line that is good quality still but some of their stuff is made for the namesake not quality.

    Some terrible takes on denim weight and fit in this video.

      @@Brent_Fiore "Anything over 16oz is uncivilized" wth that mean? Anything below 32oz is pretty easy to wear. "Anything above straight fit is a trend right now" Literally mind your own bussiness on what fits people like. Jigging or wides its not your concern.

    • @Brent_Fiore
      @Brent_Fiore  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Bro you are so pressed over someone’s opinion on jeans. The average consumer isn’t going to like anything over 16oz. I know this because I worked high end retail for over 5 years. And the fit range I provided has historically stood up to “trends” in style not function. I am talking about general styles to the average consumer not to denim heads. I have owned a pair of 25oz IHs, and you are just wrong about “pretty easy to wear”. But if you like something on you, wear it.

      @@Brent_Fiore "Bro your so pressed" lol you really like to make things up in your head and state your opinions as fact. You should reexamine your lens and bias you via the world cause your really trying to prove your bad opinion is the right opinion over here to someone who couldn't care less 😂

      @@salsa83 Anything even close to 32 oz feels like chain mail armor, what are you talking about lol. Wider fitting pants/jeans definitely is a recent trend, that doesn't mean people shouldn't wear it and that's not what Brent is saying. He's just of the opinion that it's not going to be a timeless fit/style, which is a completely valid take.
