    • @ClipperDev
      @ClipperDev  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      They have to have separate materials and/or shaders, one that is emissive and the other being em.. nonemissive. Turning emission on and off can be achieved only by swapping materials. Same applies to the skyboy

    How can I make that only specific objects in the scene glows
    I have some platforms and a ball which I want to glow but when I add a UI button it also glows which I obviously don't want
    Is there a way to apply bloom only to specific objects?

    • @ClipperDev
      @ClipperDev  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Only way to do this as far as I know is to make sure the material of objects you want to glow is emissive or the shader is emissive etc. So you toggle the bloom post processing on for the camera and then it is the material’s job to cause the object to glow or not. If you want to toggle glow in game maybe make a script that switches materials during run time

    • @ClipperDev
      @ClipperDev  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You mean it is glowing more and more? That seems strange. One thing is making sure there is no script and no animator changing the value runtime. The other is maybe the glow/emission is set to very high value and is not shown correctly in editor but in runtime unity starts to bake the lighting and it lags somehow and you receive the impression that it is increasing. Eventually try deleting and making once again xD at some time in the future I will put project files onto repository

Just switch the materials with a script in runtime. Consider it turning the glow on and then off. Otherwise you cannot tell some of the objects not to glow
