    The grandkids don’t know how to just relax in the hot tub so I bought a deck of plastic playing cards. We play all the typical card games like war, crazy 8’s, go fish, etc. We use a floating foam table to play on.

    The hot tub bucket heater is my favourite thing! I bought it after watching this video! The reason it is so great for winter it how it is all encompassing vs a rack. It’s just wonderful. 🎉

    Do you have suggestions about how to keep mildew from growing on the bottom of the cover?

    • @TheHotTubLady
      @TheHotTubLady  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Typically that is due to low sanitizer in the hot tub and not shocking and leaving the cover off completly for at least a half hour. Making sure you air out the hot tub at least twice a week helps as well.

    I can vouche for the Storm Shell TV box. I mounted mine last year and a bad storm hit the following weekend with microburst winds. I didn't have my Gazebo up yet so the Storm Shell was the only thing protecting my TV. It did it's job very well!!! If you plan to mount a TV outside, this is a must purchase product.

    What about a handrail? I know it's not mandatory but seems like it would be a pretty good accessory to me. We just ordered a hot springs Jetsetter i was kind of torn and undecided between it and the Flair. It's just going be me using it 75% of the time and my wife using it occasionally. I'm putting it under a lanai in FL and didn't want it to be too huge and take up too much space. Hopefully i made the right choice. I can still switch before it arrives though. Any opinion on the Jetsetter vs Flair from Hot springs?

    • @TheHotTubLady

      the highlifeseries is awesome and if that size works for you the Jetsetter is an amazing choice. If I ever have to downsize that would be the one I get for sure. You will love it

      @@TheHotTubLady I've been using the X10 filter without any portable softener and my salt system is generating the needed chlorine without any problem. My hardness is above 75 and higher than I would like but within my (not hot springs) tubs recommendation for their salt system. I am considering getting an on the go softener but would still continue to use my x10 filter on the hose feeding the softener at least initially.

    Does your hot tub not have an auto winter mode to prevent freezing? My husband made a rolling wooden box to heat towels and/or robes. It's a heat trax mat in the bottom of it along with some insulation.

    Bucket heater..... Is the hot tub empty of water when you use it??

    • @TheHotTubLady
      @TheHotTubLady  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @job916
      @job916 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What’s the Bucket heater exactly used for? I understand it heats the water in the bucket. But why are we putting it in the hot tub ? To prevent it from freezing ?

    • @TheRambler11
      @TheRambler11 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@job916 it's an emergency item to be used in case something happens to the hot tub or the hot tubs power source and it can't heat itself in the winter so your tub doesn't freeze and get severely damaged. You can power the submersible heater from a generator if need be easily.
