Love to see a real sneaker head give his opinion. No more of these hype beasts just trying to get clicks. Sneakernomics is the realest content in this genre. Keep it up!
What makes him a real sneaker head compared to other Shoetubers? No knock on the cool fella, but the vast majority of his interests are “hype” kicks just the same as most.
@@sneakernomics5547 can you do a video on what happened to Nike ID From the beginning to the heyday to the death I remember making Nike ID is better than anything has come out today !!! I think they got greedy, and just killed it all together
The retail being the new resale is real. Idk how I’ll go back to paying retail or more for shoes if they ever gain mass popularity again, I’m so used to getting every shoe for under retail now. We’ll look back on this era and kick ourselves for not copping every single shoe we could lol
I’m all about great shoes sitting. Just means I don’t have to fight the bots and bullshit to get a pair I want in my collection. The only people that are complaining about things retroing or bricking because they’re not ultra limited are resellers. Us common sneakerhead folk shouldn’t be bothered by it. Much love from across the pond my dude! Another bussin banga no cap on god
Point three about fashion is spot on. The skinny jeans and cargo pant look put focus on the sneaker to pronounce the fit. Now it’s about the sneakers complimenting the fit.
Agree with you, especially on point 1 and point 3. I very much only buy on sale and it's all about how you wear the sneakers and what with. Buying on sale allows me to work on other parts of my fit instead of spending all on just sneakers and having not great gear to go with it
With all the different sneakers out there, I never see anybody wearing the same sneakers. It's not about scarcity and wanting what other people don't have. It's about style and comfort and quality. I can care less about scarcity. The shoes that are scares today were available for the whole year and sometimes 2 years. Jordan's didn't sell out in one day in the 80's and 90's. They were available for the whole year and they would go on sale when the next release came out. They were able to build nostalgia. People don't even know which colors are OG anymore and the only collaborations people want are Travis Scott's. The Nike Air Force 3 Nigo's collaboration is dope especially the Broroque Brown ones and nobody cares. Nike killed their integrity. They were giving people L's on sneakers that they had in stores but people didn't know because they take their shoes off of their apps on day 1 while people got fakes from resale. People resent Nike. They give people L's and when they restock they don't even let the people who took a L know. They partnered up with Goat and Flight club so they are double dipping
I believe the quality control, overdoing collaborations with companies that are not as popular as they use to be and the high prices have people second guessing where and who they invest their money into. Different day and age, people want quality, not quantity!
Resell is the new retail hits really hard. I'm watching sneakers go on "sale" and not copping because all they did was lower it to the old retail price. FOH. I'm waiting for a real sale.
Fashion is in a very refreshing state - no more 'just get the latest J's or dunks and I'm set.' There are many options and styles and people are experimenting. Only people really complaining are the ones with a closet full of J's and dunks who don't feel cool anymore. THINK FOR YOURSELF. BE YOURSELF.
I love the fact that sneakers can be copped for under retail these days. I've bought 52 pairs this year so far (2 more ordered and waiting on) and there's only 2 pairs I paid over retail for and those were the Dark Mocha Jumpman Jacks and the Futura Dunk SBs since I wanted them and took an L on both when they dropped. I almost bought the Reverse Olive TS J1 lows for over retail until my daughter told me she somehow got a W on them and got me a pair. Loving the fact that I have more money to spend on outfits to match all my shoes since I was able to save a shit ton on all the pairs I bought this year. I also never thought I'd buy anything other than Nike, but bought my first pair of New Balance this year and now own 8 different pairs. Haven't ventured outside of Nike, Adidas, and New Balance (as of yet), but been looking at a lot of other brands I never thought I'd look into buying.
I love what's happening in the sneaker world. Things are not as limited as before and you can basically buy what sneaker you want to buy. But what I love most is the downfall of the resellers. Resellers who horde and selling them at ultra over price. I just bought an AJ 3 Black Cement under retail - 20% off! Hell Yeah!!!
They need to do more with the hoodland boot. So sick and something so much more in tune with the now, away from the hypebeast brash collab culture that’s so dated
You seem to be around the same age as me. I don’t know how long you’ve been collecting but I have since around 2005. Around 2018 that kind of ended for me because of all of the resellers and I’ve only picked up certain pairs here and there. When you get into the 100’s or 1000’s of pairs and you look at them it’s just kind of pointless. I like that things have cooled down on price but it is hard to be enthusiastic about any release. I started to really just buy high end well made sneakers because I can afford whatever I want and can’t bring myself to spend stacks on Nikes. What’s your outlook on this?
Yeah man I totally get you - you dipped out at a good time just before the sneaker game got really crazy with resell, if I wasn’t making sneaker content I wouldn’t be nearly as into it as I am - having so many sneakers that aren’t being worn is so stupid but that’s the game of collecting anything really
Love your video and have just one comment: when one wants to be fresh and not looking like anybody else, they can't be wearing nikes, no? Everybody and their mothers wears nikes.
I got out of the game in 2017. Was in from like 2011-2017. I look at the sneakerscape of today’s age, and i feel like an alien. All the cool stuff when I was in are now old people shoes? I’m so confused lmfao. Shits backwards.
There are too many sneakers and brands for anyone to be crying over a so called grail being re-released! You can easily be fresh and stand out if you REALLY want to.
why does everyone need stories with their sneaker collaborations? why not just focus on premium materials and colorblocking? we're forcing collaborators to put stupid stories on their shoes they might not have had otherwise. You end up with stories like the one from Joe's 990v6s where it sounds like they were grasping for straws. Now you even have signature basketball sneakers that need a theme for every damn shoe. Jordans got hype from dope colorways not because they were inspired by his dog or his favorite food.
collabs don’t need the stories I agree / I really like the just don 2 collab which was basically just premium materials but in a crowded market - a good story can go a long way
Also Nike is asinine. They'll release shoes with amazing quality like Oxidized Greens a week after dropping Military Blue with poor quality. Imagine the leather and quality that was on the oxidized greens on the military blues instead. People would've been so pleased. Instead they waste amazing materials on a basic random offshoot that is going under retail it's annoying.
Nike re-releasing the wu-tangs and the undefeated 4’s is a slap in the face to genuine collectors that paid £40k , as you said it’s lack of imagination
Has it changed, really ? Collectors just inflated the prices of sneakers look at Jordans and Dunks they are made from cheap crappy materials and sell like hot cakes because collectors are eating up "specials" that range from Fugly with one shitty logo added or stupid materials that are functionally bad for being on a shoe ( fluffy dunks like WTF ? ) Sure I'd like to own some Fire sneakers but 99% are boring ass all hell especially those WTs yellow panels oooh who cares and they stick a few logos on them . . . Cheap shot to make money. Yeezies are trash also I got a pair on the cheap when a store closed down two years back and they did not stand up to actually daily wearing them the laces dug I to the top of my foot became uncomfortable fast and the foam whatever inside got crushed so bad they felt like wearing cardboard on your feet. Yet I still daily some 8 year old Koston 3s and my other pair are OG Janoski's god knows how old they are and they have finally decided to crack the material in the heel support. Honestly after buying AF1 Mids and Blazer Phantoms off the back wall I still go back to my old arse SBs. Grabbed some Nyjah 3s last year and honestly these Skater designed sneakers are way more durable than anything else Nike puts out even if they look like Golf / Bowling shoes. I'd rather have durable slightly goofy looking shoes than trendy looking trash.

no hate to him but hes no different than all the other youtubers. there really is no way to determine whats a sneakerhead and a hypebeast
Love these types of vids you've been doing recently, keep up the good work man
Glad you like it bro
I Also love the comics

Sneakernomics in his own lane. Content 2nd to none💯

Best sneaker content. Most relatable
Great video!! Love the concept! Great time to be a sneakerhead
Great video liked how you put it together bro. It is a great time for people who love sneakers
Thanks fam
My two favorite pic ups in 24. Realtree Airships, Darwin Supreme SBs.
Had the darwins in 94. So glad they came back with SB Sup collaboration.
Wu tang and Jordan 39 AMM are my top 2
Man all these shoes sitting has me feeling like a baller being able to buy the whole family 4s for christmas.

Brilliant analysis of the current situation 👏🏽
Amazing video man , pure content keep going
Awwesome video! story telling has always been my driving factor of interest in a shoe.

Im happy to watch your videos alltime allday
I like the fact that im over the hype. Then again im 50🤷🏾♂️. But to walk in any random sneaker store and just cop some heat is pretty cool 👍🏾

Hammer on the head; "Not wanting to be like everyone else". BOOM!🔥🔥🔥
Can we say that KITH as brand and Ronnie Fieg as designer are living through all these eras pretty successfully?
You aren't kidding... I've gotten 3 pairs this year under retail. And in size 13, but when you buy bricks it makes things easier.

You forgot to mention replicas.
Reps look really good nowadays... and sometimes better quality than the real ones
Man I just wait until your next video everyday😂
😂😂 well I sure appreciate that fam ❤
Woah that’s me in the video!!!
Now people just go to a shop, try them on and buy shoes again like normal.
I really hope I can get a pair of the undefeated 4s 🙏🏻 in 2025
Managed to get a raffle W on the Wizard of Oz today, whats your take on these? I like the concept but feel they will be hard to style 😬
Only grail I’m willing to pay extra for are Eminem’s
I never knew the word “expound” existed
I copped new balance 996 for $60. No need to pay retail for shoes.

Its just a market bubble💯 kicks selling at 200%-300% mark up over time isn’t sustainable💯
Make Travis Scott’s GRs 2025

I don’t give a shit about “creativity” I just want to be able to buy a pair of shoes made by exploitative slave labor.
Thank god it changed. Everything being Nike became so damn boring
Sneakers should be a hobby. You shouldn’t invest in shoes for later resale. Take that money and buy property.

💯💯💯People act like it’s a crime against humanity to make some sneakers limited. As if Nike owes them everything they want

Enjoy that I can get what want for retail now. F then fake ass resellers.
Will LeBron James sneakers hold up in court!? 😂
