I got to do security for Ryche back in 2000 in Phx, AZ. I got to hang a bit w/ Michael and Kelly which was really cool, but at the end of the show there was like this crazy little mini riot, fans stormed the stage and someone took off w/ Michaels Les Paul. I managed to chase him down, and get it back and bring it back to Michael. Michael was so pissed but when he got his LP back he was really cool w/ me. I didn't ask for anything but he brought me a bunch of autographed swag before they loaded up and left. But Michael was very cool that entire night and I got to stand on the side of the stage the entire show, it was killer.
Gus has been one of my favorite guitarists since his early days in Firewind! When I heard he was going to play for Ozzy, I knew he would do a real badass job and he did! I got to see Queensryche last year. I was close to the stage right in front of Michael. I was the fat guy spilling my beer as I sang along to Eyes of a Stranger
Michael Wilton has been around long enough to be able to sound like Michael Wilton no matter what he's playing through or on. His sound is in his fingers. What's that neck pickup? I don't know just something they threw in there. Awesome! I like he has been true to ESP guitars all these years.
I dig this. Hey cool to see two world famous players just hangin. Very cool to watch Gus learn a riff like the rest of us. My suggestions for the next one is maybe at some point put the gear used up on the screen. And if this thing takes off and goes big time maybe a quick little intro about the guest and his works. Good luck Gus and yes this is a great idea.
Was surprised to see Gus playing through a Blackstar Fly. But then again they're superb. I got mine (I got the stereo pack) as sadly my local music shop was closing and bought it on a whim in their clearance sale. It the only amp I use at home now.
Todd, Can't wait to see you guys in St Louis on February 9th. I've seen Queensryche 13 times but only once with you singing and that was on the Scorpions tour. Can't wait 👍 Joe
Hey Todd, love what you and the band are doing. I've seen Queensryche 41 times across 6 different states but have only seen you 1 time vocally with the band in Corpus Christi, Tx a few years back with Michael Schenker, Dokken and Accept. What a great event that was, Anyway, thank you for bringing the life and sound of my favorite band together once again, hope to see you in San Antonio soon!
Great informative video! So Michael uses the Kemper with profiles of Roland JC 120 for clean sounds and Bogner Fish for dirty sounds. I think everything goes from a Seymour Duncan Distortion pickup (cleans, too) because this single coil is only a sustainiac, I believe. The body guitar is alder. What counts the most that cannot be bought are the WHIP's fingers ;-)
Hey, the idea is great. I would love to see more. Just one thing, it would be great if the sound quality can be a little bit better on the next ones. It's sometimes hard to understand...
looks like gus was struggleing at the beginning to come up with ideas jamming with michael wilton michael wilton still has it queens rych was the shit back then michael is a great guitarist dont get me wrong gus g is good to
Qr wilton rockenfield tate dgarmo too melodic and exhatly what the compositions demanded and guss too has a good hand queensryche too too god those days actually I nverer bought a dt or rush or pink floyed until their 5th album...... mind it cheap punks... I think I'm becoming obsessed with FireTV...really awesome content here
Seeing a pro guitar player learn a song from scratch is very humbling.

Never heard such tasty Blackmore-ish licks from Michael, yet! Wish I'd knew what song was this (I guess it is an actual song).. Cheers!
Very nice! But honestly Gus, how comfortable was it sitting on that couch. Looked super low lol. Keep up the awsome vids.
forevermaiden76 😂 actually it was pretty comfortable! We just needed a higher tripod stand.

Backroom Gusting Couch...
Guitar casting couch...

English please.
Turn That Phone Off, lol….
I absolutely love queensrych but wilton is out of his league here haha.
Gus is a slow learner as I learned hear while he was struggling with Eyes of a stranger
I think they were tuned differently so it was more difficult for him to adjust
Sometimes I wonder if Gus G is being a prick or if he's just nervous/awkward. I _think_ it's just the language barrier.
Steven Vachon he always seems nice to me
michael is old
Matt Hellforge No, Willie Nelson is “old”.
@@DJTGOAT i know right
No, your just immature. Lolol
Stfu moron. You’re a punk, so what’s your point?
Why they are sitting on a dog couch playing dog amps?
