This playthrough was awesome, it bugs me ever so slightly that Player 1 and Player 3 swapped positions though, Lancelot should have been on the left and Perceval on the right.

The presentation to this game is fantastic, you can tell Capcom put a lot of love and effort to Knights of the Round.
This is not simply a three player netplay, it's a three expert organised pro-level session
A Golden gem of a old classic video game.

Im the only one who noticed when they get the mayor level ups where they change drastically they get older?
Each character have 3 phases.
Percival is the easier one to notice, first stage minimum armor. Second phase slightly different haircut, more armor.
And the final phase we see a battle hardened veteran bald now with beard heavier armored but still retaining his gladiator style.

The game devs were definitely tired when they got to the naming part -
- we’ve already got Sword Guy and Soldier, what do we call these guys?
- just go with Fat Man and Tall Man

I LoL'd when Lancelot slashed at the mounted solder and it said Fat Man
I also lose some of the spelling and grammar mistakes. Push Botton, Diffence. "You were born to sacred sword"
Either that or they're all Mega Man refugees since it's a Capcom game. :P

Best 3-player run of this classic Capcom arcade game ever!
Perceval loses his hair and pants but gains a goatee at level 12. I dunno who made this design decision but I'm loving it.

I like those stage end fights where two of the players sit back, clean up any goons that try to interfere, and watch their boy stomp the shit out of the boss.
I also like that they had Lancelot, with his saber, doing most of the cavalry work.

SFC版にも移植されていたが、自分はPSP版のカプコンアーケードクラシックスで結構プレイしたな。
レベルアップする度にライフ全回復という部分も非常に好きだったし、ランスロットはがり使ってた。

these 3 guy got skill but if you evr wonder why arthur stay back, because he pulling screen to prevent enemies from swamping them. It's an abuse is some side scrolling game to limit enemies coming out all at once. Honestly though once you got to their skill level, all you worry about is getting swamp from all sides by enemies and getting hit by your own teammate. That is why they play the way they do. One by one and limit enemies coming out at them to minimum.
So basically it's called "Shifting"
Interesting point. I do like their teamwork. My only concern was resource management. I would've thought it was wiser to make sure needs most gets first, especially with the points going towards experience.

The table you refer to was made to show us the stage. The round table wasn't created until after the game's ending. Look for a translation and see for yourself.

how is there 3 players!!! i dont remember 3 players being a possible option! whaaaaat. this should be noted i played on the snes. and to this day still own it.
This game was originally deisgned for three players. Console games from 8 and 16 bit era not always had enough harware power to have two player characters on screen at the same time, much more rarely three. Capcom arcade games were already very graphically intense for consoles, remember that the first version of Final Fight in Snes doesn't even had two player mode.
Also, some arcade games versions were configurated to have only two players even if the original version allowed more. That was in order to sell cheaper smaller cabinets with only two controllers, cabinets with controls and space for three players were really big and expensive.

I could never get the last upgrade tier for the characters. I even did near perfect runs maximizing the gold drop outputs and still couldn't achieve that final look.
In solo run, it's achievable; not in multiplayer. There are often 2 magic staffs that provide 2 free level ups. The most important is getting food at full health to maximize exp gain.
The other reply about using the food as experience is a good strategy. Another is to kill the same enemy types consecutively(for example, killing three Fat Men without killing any other types) which grants an experience bonus. There's a good bit of luck involved too. I just played an Arthur game and barely got any good drops. Then I played a Lancelot game and got two level-up staves within 30 seconds(end of one stage, beginning of another) plus a level up by points fairly early in the game, so three levels total and reached level 16 very early in the final stage.

Game is so good I forgive them. Plus, without that one game, no one ever made a decent game about the knights of the round......table. Every medieval fantastic video game is more or less based on the Tolkien lore, rather than arthurian legend

Not your typical hack and slash, technique is required to finish the game on 1 quarter, or even one life. Blocking will get you somewhere, not doing so, and you'll be slaughtered long before Garibaldi.

素晴らしいです。最高のチームプレイですね。騎士の華ランスロットが中心なのもいいです。ただ、最後のガリバルディを落馬させた後、いわゆるハメ技で倒すのが、騎士らしくなく、ちょっと残念です。でも、エンディングも含めて、素晴らしいですね。

True name is Perceval. French origin "perce" (pierce) and "val" (small valley). Same for Lancelot Dulac. (Lancelot from the lake). They made many typos as most games translated from japanese language from that era
