Shit, I had that CD and remember the sample! Thought it was useless and never used it. That's why this Man is a legend and I'm just a twonk. He has vision!
dannys done alright for himself as someone with learning disabilities he once said if he didn't make it in the music business he would be stuck doing a dead end warehouse job
I can't remember the other drum n bass, jungle track that used this horn sample. It was around 94, 95 had some vocal in it "that's right" "yeah ya". Could of been on Joker records but it's so long ago. Great sample though.
Hey man. The main sound (Arp) from the valley of the shadows was a sample taken from CD that comes with Yamaha a3000 sampler (Yamaha a3000 sound library). I cannot remember the sample name though. :/
Do people still listen to DnB, dubstep, 2 Step etc and other 90s genres of music. because i'm getting a little old these days and a little out of touch.
dnb has evolved into different subgenres, liquid drum n bass, melodic drum n bass... i think it also sound more agressive these days more like dubstep kind of sounds heavy distorted sounds
with all due respect but that bassline sounds so bad... Just look at his VU, +12db... What s the logic in that? Apparently he missed the gain staging class... And please don t tell me that its for 'distortion' as there are an infinite ways of getting similar effect in a more controlled way.
Any tips we can get from Danny Byrd is gold. Thanks for having him.
