The pro thing you did was not to publicly name the other company. I used to work as a senior technician at a top window manufacture in western Canada and I always was asked about the other companies. Some of our customers were looking for me to tarnish the name of the other window manufactures that made windows in our market. I refused to do that. My job was to repair our products and not to bash other companies. I worked for one of the other companies and I had the same rule there. In my opinion you are treading a real fine line when naming and cutting down others.

I own 3 x classic 80's V8 W126 Mercecdes ( 2 x coupes 87 & 88 and 1 x 89 560SEL) and do all the resto work myself except for upholstery, but now recently retired and all the time to learn leather sewing which iam very keen to learn. My next door neighbour (Nancy) is also retired from owning a curtain business all her working life and now has her industrial sewing machines in her garage which i can access to learn on. I live in Perth, western Australia
Your teaching skills are top notch as i stumbled on your channel recently and love the detail you put into your video's
I have spare seats for my cars and over time i have collected leather covers in varying states of condition and the foam molds/backings for the seat shape that mounts to the frame
The mercedes leathers have that under material (some threaded with wire) in the creases so in the crease it can be pulled & hooked to create the deep creases in the pattern. Over time that under material deteriorates and the crease lets go giving the leather seat base in particular a flat appearance instead of the correct deep recesses
I would like to refurb these leather covers (the centre sections have perforations (holes pattern) and side bolsters smooth
I would like to bolster the sides more on both the seat base and the the seat back for a more snug fit much like the Recaro's are shapes on the bolters and perhaps it may require the patterns to be enlarged with fesh material to accomodate
Sorry for this post being long but it would be ideal for you to demonstrate repairing the above pleat issues and how to mode the seats for larger side bolsters

I did the seat bottoms on my Excursion and wrapped the steering wheel. Now, I didn't make the covers or the wrap. I bought them and put them on. Yes, not quite the same but for me not having access to the equipment nor your professional abilities, that was fine with me. It looked like a factory finish when I was done however.
The steering wheel wrap had to be hand-sewn with what was included. Turned out very tight and hasn't come loose in the two years since I did it. Much better than those horrible slip-on steering wheel covers.
The seat foam and covers are still perfect.
