If you made up a hopper for the Meal rolled grain ...to drive under with the feeder ...! Also a beet hopper .. you could knock another 15 .minutes off ! Also have a day or mabe two days just ready to drop ....!
Looks like u explained the ration on the 2002 model whereas u didn’t on the 2016 that could have been the difference 👍 Great video idea have a good Christmas 👍
A bucket brush would be a great job when ever ye can get one Phil. We bought on this year after years of using a yard scraper. Massive difference. Yard has never been so clean
Now if you were to wear a disposable nappy you could save approximately 12.446 hours over the winter months. You could also liquidize your breakfast dinner and tea, and suck them through a straw while working you could save a hundred hours over the winter. Young Phil life is short enjoy THAT you are, and try not to get lost in WHAT you are ❤
what's the visibility like out of the old machine compared to the new one ........u seem to be sitting more in the middle of the machine in the older one compared to the new machine ...
@@FARMERPHIL3690 thank you for taking the time to reply ..........but if your main job was giving in silage direct to cattle with a shear grab would the old machine be the easier to use ...?
That new machine is a great job. Well able to do twice the work of the of machine. Great to still have the small machine as well for the days the bigger machine is off doing contracting. Well wear Stewart family.
It looks like you could save some more time by parking the diet feeder nearer the pit and cut down more on the back and forth with the tele. If your splitting the difference between sheds by parking there, it still could be nearer by the looks of things. Just time the back and forths from each load to the pit/shed to come up with the optimum location for the diet feeder to be parked while loading and use that going forward. If your going to the pit for a load 4 times more than the shed for example then it would make more sense to park by the pit and bank that time saved. It all depends on the specific mix your using. You mentioned additional time of 13hrs by the end of things but in reality you should now be planning on spending an additional 7/8 minutes on another activity in the day if your only feeding once per day. You need to use up the time effectively on the specific day for it to count. Even if its having an earlier night in to spend time with the fam then it's still a win.
Its force of habit to park and fill there from when we used to feed molasses out of the steel tank but when we clear another bit of the pit that we can park crosses ways across the yard without blocking it we will
The numbers add up quickly when you do the math. Our bucket has moved at least 35,000 t in the 7 or 8 years since we got it used and it is on it´s 3rd cutting edge now
So so I guess if you were to take your maths to the ultimate conclusion and work it out in euro terms in your case it might be a bit difficult to justify the bigger Tele and I will quantify that by saying that if you’re existing smaller tele had no major reliability issues Of course you will get the comments that you can justify the newer bigger one with job satisfaction comfort etc Old boy once told me paint don’t put money in the bank If any of your viewers watch the Jackson brothers here in in the black soil area of NSW Australia grain growers Run 2 combines and in a recent video they were over in the west at a demonstration of the largest NH with an 18 Meter 60 foot front the question that they were asking would it be better to replace 2 combines / Headers with 1 bigger one That is the million dollar question I notice that a lot of farmers like to have the shiny new gear I would say only if the business can economically justify it ,otherwise you are only in hock to the credit institution and working for everyone except yourself Happy Christmas to the Steward family Might catch up in 25 Ol Mick in Oz
The new tele will save you much more time over a year doing other loader work instead of the loader tractor or the shovel you must have banned Father Phil from it as i haven't seen him in the new one yet😂
That new tele made the least sense of anything in the yard. You’ve now 3 teleporters/loaders that need servicing and running and all 3 depreciating. You should be using the Veneri and a proper shear grab to fill the silage and the wee jcb and a proper bucket to fill the meal. That would have saved you €40k on a new handler that doesn’t replace any of the machines. And you could have spent that 40k on changing that timber shed in the middle of the yard so it can be feed into properly. That way instead of saving a few hours every year you’d have saved days. That timber shed is a disaster to clean out, see into or feed into. Needs gone asap.
Venieri would be ideal on a big sheargrab you would imagine , set of industrial tyres on it would do a lot of winters and even using the silage pit loader to do the winter block sheargrab feeding would help to justify keeping a fresher loading shovel , easy to look in from the outside I suppose but I definitely think you have a good point there
That loader is also much better than the old one in the field, and much easier to take down the road. It's also probably more reliable than the older one in general. I'd bet there's quite a few days that both are being used at once. You don't realise the benefit until you have an extra loader
Both the old tele and veneri have most of there depreciating done and when they used to use the venrie for feeding during the winter you couldn’t keep tyres or diff in it. Also 40k wouldn’t go far nowadays to replace the timber shed to do it right and dig tanks and slats would cost the guts of 200k
Small teleporter needs to be line bored and bushed. Also why don’t toy put the calcium and minerals in the bucket first so the barley will be on top and stop it blowing around the yard?
If you had a tined shear grab and pre cut the blocks of silage and maize and switched over to a bucket to fill the feeder with the old teleporter I’d say you’d be a nice bit quicker
Nice one Phil Seven minutes saved, that don't impress me much 🎶 I demand a rematch Liv might have masaged the figures to teach you a lesson about wasting money We need an independent observer
Phill you look so much younger beautiful hope liv is pleased not so prickly when she gives you a kiss.Happy Christmas to all and have a wonderful holiday and happy New Year 🥳.All the best to our favourite farmers in the world 🌍.🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Id be looking to spend some of that 8 minutes whipping that ivy covered tree out there before she comes a cropper and ye spend a day tiding up after it. Harbouring starlings too I’d say. Happy Christmas to all the Stewart family.
Hi farmer Phil that was a great job with them two ones and keep up the good work with your cattle and happy Christmas to you and all your family to and is this the last video you will have for 2024🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Teleporter is a Sanderson reference - did the 520 JCB replace a TL6 or something Phil? We started with Matbros in 1991, last one left in 2005 but my late uncle still called all 3 JCB's Matbros
Merry Christmas 🤶 🎄 Phil and liv and father and mother well done great job 👏 👍
Merry Xmas phil family
That half day saved was wasted in bed with a bad back 😂
Probably was more time lost that that🙈😂
A good job merry Christmas to you and liv and to all your family 😊
When it comes down counting minutes !! It's time to get out
You got live your life!!
Merry Christmas Phil to you and the family 🧡 from northern Ireland

Congratulations Philip Merry Christmas and Happy New year
Just right not washing the JCB , the black paint rusts something serious! That's a very Australia looking hair cut Phil 🤠😎
Great video Phil. Enjoyed watching. Merry Christmas to you Liv & all your family. 🎅🎅
Definitely get a power washer Phil - the new JCB is starting to get a rough look about it
A 1 pass feed pusher for the front of a telly would save you some time and effort, instead of the back and forwarding with the telly bucket.
Good video phil happy Christmas to all the stewarts and a happy new year🎉😊
Have yourselves a fantastic and Happy Christmas Both of you and your family.
When you have to get fed up to go out to work all will help all the best for 2025
Good video Phil, time is money! Merry Christmas to you all and Happy New Year.
Should do an updated video on all the tractors ye have like the one you did a few years ago of all 28 tractors
Merry Christmas 🎅 and happy new year thanks for all the videos over the year 🎄🎄🎄🎅🎅🥳🥳
What happened to the head😮
Great video Phil ❤
Meanness
Just wondering, are those buckets at the max both tele's can handle (pun intended)?
pretty much yes
Great video. I was expecting a bigger time difference, interesting to quantify it though. Keep up the good work.
Happy Christmas to all the stewarts
Did ye ever find out who sent the new seat for the new Tele?!!!!!!

Well said
Merry chrismas
It’d be interesting see the time difference between the two when feeding the bales .
Good video Phil
Will give it ago
Merry Christmas to ye all.
Only for the single farm payment would u be at it?
Enjoyed the video
What kind of Kgs of silage can you get in a full bite of the quicke ? I’ve a the same grab with tines n pushoiff
You can spend them 13 hours fixing the beet harvester and trying to keep the 6480 going 😂😂😂😂
what's the visibility like out of the old machine compared to the new one ........u seem to be sitting more in the middle of the machine in the older one compared to the new machine ...
Better view of your right hand side in the old machine but the height of the new machine is much nicer for loading or stacking straw
@@FARMERPHIL3690 thank you for taking the time to reply ..........but if your main job was giving in silage direct to cattle with a shear grab would the old machine be the easier to use ...?
It would in tighter situations but you’d have more runs to and from the pit to do
U can spend the time u saved there fixing the rest of scrap u have around the place and tidey up the place a bit
That new machine is a great job. Well able to do twice the work of the of machine. Great to still have the small machine as well for the days the bigger machine is off doing contracting. Well wear Stewart family.
Happy Christmas to all you are do a break Phil after the year enjoy the holidays 🎉🎉🎉
Still cant understand what you're doing with all this time you're always ranting on about saving because its definitely not tidying or washing
Good stuff
It looks like you could save some more time by parking the diet feeder nearer the pit and cut down more on the back and forth with the tele.

I thought it was interesting
Phil do you cut ur own hair as well? 😮😮
How come use have never used the loading shovel for the feeding?
They used to years ago but was very hard on tyres and diff
Going on the wear in the pins on the shear grab keep the new one well greased like once a week give it a pump or two of grease.
I definitely prefer a quicky 👍🤣
Just buy yourself self loading feed mixer
Meaningless test as you cannot guarantee 100 percent reliability ever though you had 4 jcb teles
Great job top gear stuff
So so I guess if you were to take your maths to the ultimate conclusion and work it out in euro terms in your case it might be a bit difficult to justify the bigger Tele and I will quantify that by saying that if you’re existing smaller tele had no major reliability issues
Of course you will get the comments that you can justify the newer bigger one with job satisfaction comfort etc
Old boy once told me paint don’t put money in the bank
If any of your viewers watch the Jackson brothers here in in the black soil area of NSW Australia grain growers Run 2 combines and in a recent video they were over in the west at a demonstration of the largest NH with an 18 Meter 60 foot front the question that they were asking would it be better to replace 2 combines / Headers with 1 bigger one
That is the million dollar question
I notice that a lot of farmers like to have the shiny new gear I would say only if the business can economically justify it ,otherwise you are only in hock to the credit institution and working for everyone except yourself
Happy Christmas to the Steward family Might catch up in 25
Ol Mick in Oz
Don't know why you don't put the feeder nearer to the pit , there's a lot of time lost twisting and turning
A demo of a skidsteer would be very interesting, one of them machines would be a gift for yere yard
He has a bad back are u trying to kill him
More coffee and cake?
The new JCB does a better job Phil but there is still a need for the old one.
Phil do another update on the bale unroller
Coming Thursday
@@FARMERPHIL3690did u try any dry silage on it
Yes and it’ll be in the next video
The new tele will save you much more time over a year doing other loader work instead of the loader tractor or the shovel you must have banned Father Phil from it as i haven't seen him in the new one yet😂
He’s not banned just won’t use it unless he has to

Is santa bringing you a new mirror for the handler🤔
Small teleporter needs to be line bored and bushed. Also why don’t toy put the calcium and minerals in the bucket first so the barley will be on top and stop it blowing around the yard?
Doesn’t make a difference even with wet silage in it’ll still blow about
Well come ji
jcb best
The newer teleporter must be more comfortable and easier on you in the long run
If you had a tined shear grab and pre cut the blocks of silage and maize and switched over to a bucket to fill the feeder with the old teleporter I’d say you’d be a nice bit quicker

Abit over an hour

O bejasus got hair cut ya do no one
