- How to dress apple body shape in order to flatter your proportions or even look slimmer? Some women tend to cover it all up with loose garments which, in most cases, is not the right thing to do as this can simply make you look larger than you really are. Showing you some styles to look good if you are curvier around your midsection.

Let me know which outfit transformation is your favourite?
Hi Giedre!! Really appreciated your previous video, you talk total common sense about style and the advice really works . Can't wait to watch this one! Verdict later.
You're just amaaaazzziiinnggggggg
Great video! They were all really good changes. But my favorite was #3. I have caught myself making this mistake way too many times in my life mostly because it feels so comfy. But seeing the side by side difference makes me realize I would rather look a little more polished and to save the cozy cardigan for home movie nights😄. Thank you for all you do.🌻
Saya body Apple paling susah untuk ber fashion
Love this format of showing the ‘right’ way and ‘wrong’ way side by side and you jump into the illustrating right away without the typical lengthy worded introduction that you see in 99% of videos out there. Thanks
Thank you! ❤️
Yes, it's a good demonstration, to avoid mistakes
I agree.
Straight to the point thank you
Great Video & finally, a real average model!
I loved the A-line red dress on the model - plus the tip illustrated with the little sky blue dress - tie the belt at the back. Nips in at the sides for shape, but no bulk on the front. 👍Love your presentation style too (as has already been mentioned) - side by side live comparisons and no talk. Thank you.
Thank you, dear heart for less words and more pictures. I'm a visual learner and you have made my life easier with this presentation! Also, this really caught my attention, something you said very early on in the vid--you stated this "knowing" what is right for one's body is a Skill--and I am highly coachable. Pretty certain I won't do exactly what you've said, but I bet I'd make you proud at how good your ideas look on this little dumpling body (7th decade crone and proud of it)!
I am literally in tears, I finally found some practical yet simple answers to my body shape . Thank you
Thank you, Jennifer, I am glad you find it practical! ❤
Look at her! She is moving so synchronized like a professional model! Really liked the examples with belts, will try it out as she looks stunning! Thank you both!
Yaaas! She is amazing ❤️
Giedre, Great video! I love how you take a real person and use her real clothing to demonstrate exactly how to make simple changes that make her look stylish & elegant! That shows me that what I have already can usually be tweaked to look better! I'm constantly amazed at the changes you make so effortlessly! I used to be pretty much a rectangle, but after a surgey, midrise jeans fit best. But then I have a larger midriff above that! I don't like it & am constantly trying to "hide" it! No, I don't like the word "hide" either! You've given me some ideas here. I'm glad I took screenshots of the looks side by side! That's the most helpful way for me to learn & hopefully put those tips into practice! I can see that larger long tees are not flattering! And fitted jackets that create a waist look better than long loose fitting sweaters even if they as first appear to make long vertical lines! Many thanks, my friend, for your tips & demonstrations! Well done!👍❤❤💞💞
Dear, Shirley I am always looking forward to your message ❤️Thank you for watching and giving your insights! And it is lovely to know that the work I do is helpful ❤️
9,
Thank you! I am trying to rehab my middle aged mom style for a trip to Europe and this has been super helpful!
Great tips, but don’t forget about the shoes! Keeping shoes in same color as legs, whether bare legs, hose or pants, looks longer and slimmer.
Thank you for showing me how I can look better without going broke to change my whole wardrobe. Everything she wears looks like clothes I already have. Also, thank you for showing a model with my shape wearing stylish, modern clothes. I love these videos.
This is me!! Please do more and more just like this!!
Some of the before outfits looked better than the corrected ones, which made the model look boxy and accentuated her bust.
none of the befores were better.
No
I really like the flowy skirt and top with belt. That combo is really classic and she looks great
The tip about not using bulky knits is my favorite tip and look 💕
Excellent I agree with the previous comment. You went right to the demonstrations not a alot of talking like other videos 👍
I love your friendly and supportive way of giving advice. Very nice!
I appreciate that!
I prefer the flowered top with the dark black slimmer bottoms.
Finally a model that looks like me! Thank you so very much for sharing your experience and wisdom !!❤❤
Glad it was helpful!
Firstly - its lovely to see a gorgeous vibrant woman rocking modern clothes. I have this body shape and I would like to add that I have had success with structured knits as long as they are cropped and I wear high waisted bottoms and/or a flowing tee peaking out the bottom (my fav had a shirt tail hemline) underneath. I think the fact that it doesn't hug my widest part and the structure builds up my shoulder helps :)
By the end of the video modle started to look pretty because of her constant cute smile .
This is awesome..... U hav taken right models ..... Now i m able to figure for myself.... This is perfect way to make video
So glad you followed up your tips with a video. So very helpful
Thank you for having an actual Apple shape model!❤🎉
Wow! Love all these amazing tips! I have been doing some of the wrong ways. Nice to learn!
Thank you, love how you style. You don't take as long as some of the other stylists who talk too much.🩵
Thank you. Learned alot and makes a difference. Do you have a video on Style Pear Body shape... Awesome.... Thxk
I love that you dress ALL types of beautiful women.
❤❤❤
Great video! Illustrates how a picture is worth a thousand words! Love the format. I'd like to know where I can find pants and tops like the ones here. Thank you!
Love this video-it's so helpful!
Thank you and your model for the helpful tips and the direct compare 👍
My faves are 2,4,8 &9. Great video, Giedre!
Nice! thank you for your feedback ❤️
Giedre, you are 🥇 the best! For me you are a phenomenal stylist. Thanks for all your tips and tricks 😘🌈.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed watching it! 💕
First she says to not go with longer lengths but in the last style she did exactly that. Overall a great video.
These are great tips which I shall follow, thanks so much!
I love love love your videos. They make so much sense. I can’t wait to try your ideas tomorrow. Plus, I am going to have a wardrobe clear out! Thank you.
So glad to hear it❤️
Finally a model that has my exact shape!! Thank you for this - major eye opener - I finally “get it”
🌸❤️🌸 happy to hear it!
Great love the video
Hello !!
I love the way you make looking stylish so effortless. You are superb 😘
🌈❤️❤️❤️
Very helpfull tips. Thank you and greetings from Brazil.
love the style of this video, but I wouldn't call the model's shape Apple, she is pretty in proportion all over. I thought apple shape meant the middle part of the body was the largest. Normally apple shaped women have skinny legs. I'm confused.
I agree... I am an apple and never do belts, it's just not on!
Love the open white jacket
Best video on apple shape
Thanks you’re amazing .i am learn a lot from your ideas .my age 64 years old and my weight 57 kg and my length 54 C .
great video ....thanks
So simple, so awesome!
Im Sorry but I LOVED the model in the Red dress (1:29) on the left! I loved the overall Sheath shape on her...and then the reveal was that it was tucked and pinned in the back - I was sad. The A-line version (Right) looked OK on her body. IMO . Good video - learned a few things.
Very very helpful video👍
Mashallah love the first outfit xx
Great video. Thank you very much
Thank you! We are repeating this video in 1week, keep an eye on my channel!🙌
Please, one for petitte inverted triangle!!!
great video!
I liked the green top on your model though. maybe the fit could be tweaked to be more flattering. the color looks very nice on her.
Agree the color is just divine on her as well as long top in yellow!
I m crazy about wearing belts buttttttt i hv a round belly unluckily so dat i cant wear hapily😰
So cool!!
Your ideas are my new closet bible. Thank you for addressing what matters when trying to get it together in the morning!
I am an apple shape, but I preferred most of the 'wrong' looks and I felt the model looked better in them also. Some of the 'correct' looks drew attention directly to her tummy area, which is the last thing an apple-shaped lady would want. The outfits didn't feel balanced. Just my opinion.
Another apple here and I hear you. I was the same way not so long ago untill I realised its not about the belly area but about making your body as a whole looking different - in balance. For me it started with legs. Instead of a tight fit (since my legs are skinnier i figured i need to showcase em) i choose a flaired type of pant. The compliments i got.....unbelivable. Made me think and realised that what happened is i balanced my body. By wearing tight jeans i showcased my legs yes, but i also showcased how top heavy i am in contrast. Basicly you have to stop thinking just about your belly but your body as a whole and how to achieve simmetry. Then i started tucking in my shirt, belting etc. At the end ... we all wear what we want and what makes us comfy and happy. But to me she looked 100% better with altered looks.
So freaking useful 🙏🤍
thank you we apples need these tips!
How did you pin the black dress at #10? I have some dresses that might be loose at mid-section but they fit me at the chest very well.
I used a simple pin, but it is possible to add a short (couple cm) elastic/rubber from the inside. In that way, you won't need special tailoring and the piece will stay stretchy as well
WoW! Amazing! Thank you!!
I like most of the original pieces more than the second pieces, though. But I can definitely tell that they’re more flattering. How do you have fun & look STYLISH in this body type?
Agree. I think the after is so frumpy. None of these outfits are fun or stylish
Exactly!!!!
How did you do the side knot?
Bravo! Thank you.
I know this is going to helpful :)
Omg I love this
Aaah...I need help with this shape for sure. I'm 5'7" and I've been skinny all my life until a major surgery. Now I have an Apple shape, and I am clueless on what to do.
I have several videos for and with an apple shape, please check my channel for more insights 🎈
Thank you for this! I especially appreciate the model who was shaped like me. My only question is about the cardigan versus the blazer. In a previous step, you said to choose flowy vs stiff silhouettes, and then you chose a blazer over a cardigan. I can see the difference, but I would have naturally gone towards the cardigan because it is a softer line. How can I decide when to choose flowy and when to choose fitted?
The fabrics. The flowy stuff should not be an bulky fabric that adds weight to your siluette ;)
I think for the blazer vs cardigan, she was talking about structure in terms of what will give a certain silhouette, rather than flowy vs stiff...
Koks aprangos stilius tiktu moterims su lb didele krūtine? :) Kokios taisyklės būtų aprangoje, kad maskuoti ir išlyginti proporcijas? Būtų įdomu pamatyti video. Ačiū. 🌸
Labas, Egle! Esu nufilmavusi spec. video didelei krūtinei su įvairiais pavyzdžiais, pažiūrėk mano kanale :)
Now please I'm the same as your model but I'm thicker just at the bust line down. So how do I wear dresses And can't wear laytex. I've been wearing tank tops under and short sleeved button blouse for extra cover and trying find flowing tunic with side openings for extra flow. I've never worn leggings before but I tried them love them and I can wear them under my jean during winter.
I used to be an inverted triangle, but after putting on weight I am now a big busted, big bellied apple. I would love to try making a big full skirt ( the easy 18th century double apron style) but don't know how to style it to avoid looking spherical. Can you help?
Hi! I have just filmed a new video on Apple shape that will be going live in 1-2weeks ❤ Please keep an eye on my channel ❤
Great video:)
Glad you enjoyed it
You might want to get rid of the clunky, frumpy black heels.
Das Model hat so eine gute Figur , sie sieht mit allen Varianten gut aus :-)
Would love a video on someone with more apple/tummy. This woman may be an apple but some of these tips would not work on a woman with a larger midsection.
Hi! Please check the newest episode with the same lady :)
Hello from Perú, I love your channel :D
Aww so nice to have you here ❤
with apple shape I'll always try to put the light colors on the bottom part and the dark on top will cover till under the belly button part , that will give the delusion we need
I think these outfit works much better for short apple body shape than tall apple body shape. Person with short torso apple body would benefit better with longer shirt and big cardigan
where can i buy these clothes
In Tip No. 7. 1st look is better than the 2nd
Супер відео і музика гарну підібрали 😉😍
❤️❤️❤️
I have a butterfly headscarf the pattern really breaks up my top half
00:49 #2 Add bulk
The tan slacks make her look heavier all the way to the floor. And please, give her some feminine shoes. Otherwise, not bad.
👍 Спасибо за видео.
Indonesia here
Hi!🌈
@@giedre i am happy with your video. Its like make me some inspirations
Loved the video, but that background music with its “ hey!” was torture. I had to mute.
Не понравился образ с бежевыми брюками. Не красиво смотрится паховая зона. А так большое спасибо что про яблочек.
❤️
I’d love to see some of these on my 🍎😂😂😂😂. It wouldn’t look anything like that!
The black shoes are heavy ..
The belt looks like a defining of the too large waist. Check the belt off, no!
