    Another reason for not walking under the wing is due fuel vent's,
    During refueling, the vents at the end of the wings are open to allow pressure equalisation, so vapour will be escapeing. also if the automatic shut off valves fail, they are also overflow vents to allow excess fuel to escape meaning anyone under the vent at the time will get a jet A1 shower.

    I happen to be somewhat disabled, I walk with forearm crutches and I have cerebral palsy. Despite that, on one Relatively short flight over 40 years ago, about 400 miles or one hour, I was sitting next to the emergency exit. I was the one who said to the flight crew member “shouldn’t I move” and they said to not worry about it. Nothing happened, but that’s why I’m always very conscious to not get myself into the position of being next to the emergency exit.

    Bit silly to suggest it’s fine to not wear your seat belt when the sign is off. You should wear your seatbelt at all times unless going to the toilet. Turbulence can happen at a moments notice, no getting signs from the air stewardess sitting down, and you can be throw up. There is literally no good reason to not wear your seatbelt at all times, no good reasons.

    You missed one. On helicopters, you never approach from the front or rear, due to the fact that's how the helicopter moves forward and backwards. The blades can be tilted at extreme angles. The only way to properly approach a helicopter is from the side due to the angle of pitch now being so great

  • @traviscapehart7590

    There is another method that pilots use to find the runway. It can be used with or without lights or when weather is bad. It involves a complicated series of radio beacons, communicating with the aircraft that indicates the planes position relative to a recommended glide path assisting in landing both with directional input as well as altitude and ground proximity inputs. This is often called riding the wire, and can be done safely in zero visibility.

      @jaz4908 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CodyB27 then u go easy landing or land smoothly even no wheels then rub the belly of the plane cuz in take off if ur engine suddenly fails while taking off and it's in high altitudes then it won't go easy to control cuz the plane's position in the air is diagonally upward where as in landing if ur engine or whatsoever fails that is hardly bad to the plane and u can't have control on it then it will became less difficult to the pilot to land they have many opportunities to not harm the passengers...

    2:31 the Decision Altitude is the altitude at which you must go around if you are doing IFR approach and don't have the runway in sight. And there is no "point of no return". You can go around at any point during the approach if something isn't right, from airspeed and altitude to cabin crew not being seated, or an obstacle on the runway. You can even go around after the wheels touch down on the ground.

It is part of safety regulation, approaching or deboarding an helicopter requires proper observation and attention since it might be that the rotor is tilted a bit sideward for some reason and it may cause fatal incident and not all helicopters are high enough. In simple words, always be cautious.

      A lot of what they say is ignorant of actual things. For example in this video, the reverse thrusting. Not using them doesn't mean that the plane will overshoot. No, that's all up to the computer. Pilots use reverse thrusting to keep the wear and tear on the brakes down.

      Older airplanes with turbojet and low bypass fanjets have “clamshells” that close behind the exhaust to divert the exhaust forward.
      This doesn't work on high bypass fanjets as the turbojet exhaust is but a small part of the total exhaust. Clamshells would have to be enormous to divert the fan exhaust forward.

    #3, The pilots know why this rule exists. Anyone who has taken a high school physics course could explain it to you. First, the plane is not travelling at a snails pace on the runway. Well in excess of 100mph by takeoff. If the engines fails on takeoff below a minimum altitude that plane is coming back down and may be off the runway. Lots of objects to collide with on the ground. At altitude with a steady speed, there is no relative motion between the unbuckled crew and the plane, and no objects to collide with, hence little chance of a sudden deceleration, creating a delta v between the person and the plane. Turbulence usually causes a vertical displacement far less violent than a collision with an object. In addition, shoud a stall condition occur at altitude there is plenty of recovery time. Stalls near the ground usually result in a crash. Seems someone making a high quality video about aviation would know some basic facts about aviation.

      Exactly, the ground crew always looks out for anything that could go wrong and can veto the engine start until its completely safe to do so.

    First two are nothing to sneeze at. The Vail, CO airport is a prime example.
