The drone shots of the ice floating in the river and the music start a beautiful relaxing video. Your videos are getting better and better. Keep it up for those of us that are house bound.
Levi, I have a suggestion for your generator issue. How about putting a door through the skirting and making a track somehow that you could store the generator under the house, where it should be a bit warmer, and then slide it outside whenever you need to use it. I don't know if that would work, but it's worth a try. Maybe first check what the temp is behind the skirting.
A big sliding battery tray would work. I’m getting ready to do that at our off-road cabin. It’s in an insulated box now to keep it warm while it runs in subzero temperatures so the oil breather doesn’t plug up. I’ve been using the insulated box for over 20 years with the same generator. I also use synthetic oil so it starts and stays running in the cold. Regular oil will cause the engine to have a low oil shutdown. After a few minutes the engine heat will allow it to run on the regular oil when it is restarted but I’d rather not do that.
The railing looks so nice. And with the ends finished, Henry will test it out every day. I still love your videos even if they are small projects. See you all next week.
You are doing all of your work with such love and care and it shows. I love watching each week and seeing your home grow . And watching all three of you being together, can't wait for next week
For more space the 4 coffee cups could hang on the right side vertically with hooks or a cup holder Levi could build and..where kitty likes to sit up by the log burl hand rail post make a small little platform to nail to where he used to lay and put some sheepkin for him in it!! Kitty would be sooo cosy. The rail is so beautiful.. nice job ❤❤
Let me first say that my wife and myself really enjoy watching your video's. For your Genset issues, What I did was I built an insulated box that covered the whole unit and had a separate exhaust hole and a vent coming into the unit so the air was heated by the unit as it was running. I made one for my work unit (EB6500 Honda Industrial ) as well as our camping unit (EU3000is Honda ) which is the same as the one that you have. The work one ran in cold weather from - 35 degrees to -45 degrees for 2 to 3 weeks at a time with no issues and the camping unit ran about the same range of temperatures and times just depending on how far back in the bush we were working.
I really like how those stairs turned out! I need railings for my loft and stairs as well. No babies to protect, but some little dogs that get too close to the edge. Our loft will be my library and sewing area, and my dogs follow me everywhere.
NICE JOB LEVI, the railing looks so GOOD!!! 👍👍 💡Generator idea: watch Eric from Simple Living Alaska making an insulated generator box using wood & foam board insulation with exhaust & air intake holes, then make your own to keep your generators protected through those harsh Alaskan winters.😅
I am so in awe of your skills, Levi. Becca, you are a great assistant. That was a lot of work but, it is done! Watching you guys put your Nest together is so much fun. Those of us that are in our later years, didn't have the luxury of modern day tools. They are such a great investment. I love to see the dogs, cats and Henry, wandering around the spaces. Your little Boy is growing up fast. I love the knotts in the posts. There is a name for them, that escapes me but, they dress up the railings, for sure. Wait till family comes by and sees your progress. This is the perfect time to work on your indoor projects and, when Spring rolls around, you will be able to get back to your outdoor projects. I pray you will always be happy and well and who knows, maybe we will get to hear you are expecting another little one. The Drone footage was awesome, as was the music...simply, awesome! Take care of yourselves. Watching from Ontario, Canada
Do like Simple Living Alaska. Build an insulated box with holes for the exhaust to get out. It will keep the oil warm and the warmth will dry any water out of the fuel
I just found your channel. And am enjoying watching you build your home. When i was 20 i built my home. Best time of my life. You 3 have fun. What a cool place to live.
Hi from Australia, I've a suggestion regarding your clothes drying rack... put it on a pulley system suspended from the ceiling... (or make a wooden one) you wouldn't have to keep moving it on the floor as you would be walking under it... clothes dry very fast this way as heat rises...
Add a tower shelves dropping down from either side of of the new kitchen shelf that can take all of the day to day cooking items you need, spices, oils and cups
Levi you do such a incredible job. Love the railing ❤ May i make a small suggest on kitchen shelf. I lived in Alaska for 8 years and due to all the earth shakes you might want to put a 2 to 3 inch lip on shelf to keep things from falling off onto Henry or Becca. Love your little family 👪❤
Great job love the railing, Henry has found his voice how sweet and walking and talking fun time for mom and dad, I got a screaming granddaughter and it is fine,
I don't want this to sound negative, just experience talking. I have plates on shelf over cooking stove in my tiny home, and the Grease from cooking gets over everything 😊
GOOD EVENING BECCA LEVI AND HENRY . STUNNING STAIRS RAILINGS. IF WE HAD THAT MUCH SNOW IN SOUTHERN IRELAND WOULD BE COMPLETELY CUT OFF . MARGARET LYNCH SOUTHERN IRELAND
I love the railing system that you guys put up. Being a parent and now grandparent, I am glad you guys mentioned both ends of the top room. You will know to deal with them as he learns to start climbing. Henry is walking, not surprise. My son was walking at 10 month. Keep up with the good.
Oh the cabin is looking so good them railings make a lot of difference becca and Henry testing his vocal chords that was so funny drone shots amazing take care ❤❤❤❤👋
I am so glad I found your channel. You guys are so much fun to watch. Working around a baby can be really tough but you guys make it look easy. Nice work on the railing. Can't wait to see your next projects.
I would suggest when he being to climb & stand on things to help him out to climb over things. Please Just take the things out of the upstairs because he could fall over the railing not saying you’re bad Parents just giving suggestions. They can & will Stack toys and books and chairs on top of each other just trying to get things too fit just so they can climb over something so please keep a watch out with that precious little child.! Time will pass so fast so keep journals pictures videos everything you can they grow so fast. Love y’all Channel it’s so wholesome no cursing no swearing is so wholesome thank you for that God bless you and your family.
Nice job Levi. The railings look beautiful, finish off the stairway, and make for a safer place for Henry. He'll be climbing up and down those stairs in no time. I like the shelf above the stove too.Hope it hold the weight of cast iron pans.Becca and Levi, you've made a beautiful home to raise your family.
use some 2"x2" and ply wood and make a box with styrofoam insulation to house your generator. You can exhaust the generator out a small hole in the new box
“Simple Living Alaska” built an insulated box for his generator. I think he put in exhaust or just opens it when running I can’t remember, but I know he showed it on video.
I love it when babies learn they have a voice...and they use it!😊
Henry is adorable - so Happy is he!
Henry finding his scream voice is hysterical!
That Levi is a pretty darn good Carpenter. I think the rails just add a lot. It looks finished. Henry’s getting so big! Have a great day.
The drone shots of the ice floating in the river and the music start a beautiful relaxing video. Your videos are getting better and better. Keep it up for those of us that are house bound.
The first time the cat got on the shelf, it would become an outside cat. 😅😊
Wouldn’t it be great if humans set such standards for themselves when it comes to boundaries of others. 😂
Levi does beautiful woodwork….so glad to see the railings up! And your sourdough bread looking good!

One of my great grandsons is also a pterodacty. He is now 10 and the raptor noises have not stopped.
The railing is beautiful so secure for Henry!!!
For more space the 4 coffee cups could hang on the right side vertically with hooks or a cup holder Levi could build and..where kitty likes to sit up by the log burl hand rail post make a small little platform to nail to where he used to lay and put some sheepkin for him in it!! Yes AND muffles the noise!!..🙉

Around our home that heel or end of the bread is a treasure to be fought over.
A gate, the top, bottom, or both, would look good and keep little man front stair surfing.
