I saw them opening for Slipknot in '00, right before them was One Minute Silence (who got booed). We were all shrooming our asses off so it was even more amazing.
Damn... if only we could get THIS Mudvayne back for a 20 year anniversary of LD50. One of the best bands ever in their absolute prime. They were ready to eat the world alive.
there's something about blue summer skies in old digital camera recordings that feels so refreshing. It just brings me back to washing the car in the driveway and taking a break to play Nascar on the PS2
I feel lucky to have been able to see Mudvayne in April of 2000. It was during Slipknot's World Domination Tour, and they were the first band to play, followed by Ultraspank, then Slipknot. The concert was like two weeks after the video for "Dig" was released, and 4 months before the album dropped. It was definitely something special, as I bore witness to a force of nature that many were not prepared for.

Something I love about mydvayne shows is how chad gives small off the cuff monologues in between songs. He's one extremely underrated poet, in his lyrics most especially.
Is what I loved about the early SOAD shows. Their energy, rawness and agression. Serj yelling and giving speeches and legitimately being angry at something. Fucjing amazing...
Reminds me of Acid Bath. Dax Riggs used to give out these poems in between songs that.. Honestly.. you have to be fucked in the head to write the stuff Dax wrote back then.
Reason why is because when i filmed it, he was running from side to side in the back too much. The stage was super super high and im short as hell. So it was tough to film more of him unfortunately :(
Like a window back in time to a much simpler time I might add. I'll never forget (I was at the Detroit show) my Uncle had just passed away and me and my buddy were right in the middle of the pit during Death Blooms looking up towards the sky and the sun that was directly overhead at that moment... and obviously we were already big Mudvayne fans..
