- KEF's Jack Oclee-Brown (Head of Acoustics) and John Atkinson (Editor, Stereophile) discuss the KEF Q150 bookshelf speaker in John's listening room. Filmed in Brooklyn, NY in July 2017.
The context for the discussion was Herb Reichert's review of the KEF Q350 bookshelf speaker ($649.99/pair), which is published in our March 2018 issue. At the time, however, we were under the impression that Herb was going to receive a pair of less-expensive Q150s for review, which is why Jack and John refer to that model rather than the '350.

well I still love my Q300 AV setup with a Q200 as centre , its my best surround system I had till now but I got the LS50 a few months back and they are amazing ... I'm in love!!

Hi, I'm looking for a closed box alignment 3 way powered speaker and there is none for sale on amazon. I saw yesterday the youtube video ' outrageous audio speaker box design ' and since then I really don't know why all lowend and highend speakers are all ported design ??? Only the NHT classic 3 use a closed box but it cost too much as it don't include digital amplification and crossover and dac inputs ??? Their 3 way passive crossover cost more to manufacture than a fully featured digital amplifier.
A Br ported is very efficient. With closed you will need alot more power for the same amount of bass

Actually the NHT Super one is a sealed design and cheaper and warmer Sounding than the Classic Three
best bang for the buck speakers are the Q100 and Q500 the 100 has known to be better than a lot of kefs that are larger front ported with large soundstage easy placement Kef does best with their 5.25 inch speaker that's where all their technology has been anything larger well not as much as RD involved

For an audio focused channel, why have a cat scratching next to a mic for the majority of the interview?

@@scottlowell493 I would say they compare to the Uni-Fi UB5. I had them both. KEF's do need a sub IMO

Use all the resources you have.... video and audio..you are not writing magazines here.... if you talk about something here..youc an show the image and you can play the sound...use all resources..it is not good just to be talking...do this on magazine...use all resources you have
