- Finn is a 9 month old sheep dog who did a great job today! For groomers: I used a C Comb on a 30 for his body, 10w to shape legs, and chunkers on his feet.

We have sheepdogs and I self taught to trim their hair and figured out just what works and it is good to see that I am doing exactly what you do. 17 years and counting of grooming. They are great family dogs. Highly recommend them for anyone wanting a great family dog.

One thing good about sheep dogs are that even if you shave them off they look nice becos they r not skinny ..other dogs with fur like poodles bichon etc they look skinny with shaving off

Are you ever scared the dogs will move suddenly and you'll poke the dogs in their eyes when using sheers around their eyes? I ask because ya'll are so fast w/the sheers.

Usually a photo helps, but it depends on your dogs hair if the groomer can produce the cut.

We have many in our description that we use or have used. It depends your price range.
How often would he need grooming to remain at that sort of level?
Depends on the hair growth of the dog, keep in mind all dogs are different. Professionally, I ask clients to send pics after 4 weeks to see if the dog needs, or it can go to 6 weeks. It always ranges
Why do some owners think its cruel to cut hair on your dog, for me it's cruel not to, especially during summer

Bobtail collies should be groomed never clipped
It is a sheepdog, and up to the owner on haircuts.

Old English Sheepdogs are docked 😊 there is no such thing as "born without tails". They are known as "the Bob tailed breed", as when they originated, the farmers docked their tails to let the government know they were a working dog and did not have to pay taxes. Now, many provinces in Canada, most European Countries, and Australia are illegal to dock tails, so you will see more OES with their tails intact.
They are so wonderful with tails... Tanks god, in Germany it isn't allowed to cut the tails.
A Bobtail shouldn't look like that...totally unnatural🙈
Why do people buy such a breed, do they want a teddy bear or a dog? He looks like a poodle! dreadful🙈
