  • HOW TO ANSWER #PIP MOBILITY ACTIVITY QUESTION #1 ACTIVITY 12 PLANNING AND FOLLOWING A JOURNEY - personal Independence payment
Hello, am your host Zack LA.
And this is part of a mini series about the questions that we need to answer when we receive from the DWP a #PIP ( personal independence payment) the questioner/form on "how your disability affects you"
and we gonna have a few weeks to complete it before we send it back to the DWP.
that form is divided in 2 parts , the daily living activities and mobility activities and we must give details about each questions .
I believe that, if i had hard time and struggled to complete the form ( the first time), then am sure that other people might have the same Experience, and thats why i am doing this mini series .
Activity #12 ( MOBILITY ACTIVITY) the first question from the second part that we need to answer is PLANNING AND FOLLOWING A JOURNEY
and before you start watching will be great if you please CLICK THE LIKE BUTTON and SUBSCRIBE to my channel before you forget so you will know when the next video is uploaded ..
hope you find it useful and enjoy it .
    thank you
    Zack

Very interesting. I have been classed as mentally disabled for 15 years . The last time I applied for PIP, 3 years ago, they told me as I got a bus and a taxi to the assessment so I could not claim PIP for example. I realise now to be a lot more detailed about my day to day issues. Thanks very much and love your accent.

Hi, wondered if anyone could advise me. For the mobility part, say for Moving Around I scored 4 points and for Planning and Following Journeys I scored 10 points, would these parts be calculated together or will they only score the highest point which is 10 points?

The question DOES NOT imply what you are saying, the question asks "CAN YOU PLAN & FOLLOW A JOURNEY" I lost my HIGH (enhanced) mobility because of this question.

They scrutinise you on every question. They say it's not the illness it self. It's how it affects you. They lie it's both because they put down what you do and say on the day of the assessment.

For me the questions were asked as a very black and white thing. As in if I am able to use a map to plan a route and if I can get in my car and drive which is a yes I can. The way the assessor asked me stopped at that and didn’t actually bring in to it whether I needed help or if it had any impact on my mental health etc. I have ADHD, depression and anxiety on top of my autoimmune condition combining these problems I always have to have someone help me with these journeys. I usually have to rely on other people to take me to my Hospital appointments or at least to come with me as my adhd makes it very difficult to keep track of time and get out on the way. On top of that the chances of something like busy car park or finding a space that’s very far away and needs to me waLk (serious pain and use crutches when walking). The stress of all this is overwhelming for the last year and I always have a family member drive me to appointments now. I have a car that I hardly use and without it I can not use public transport, this brings on panic attacks. I missed out on any points on this because of how the question was asked, my adhd has me seeing things very black and white so I answered thinking it meant the theory of planning a route and making one not the psychological impact of actually doing so 😡
