I love this SO much! Seeing your journey and hearing you speak the truth "Do the dang thing!" ❤️ So often it's fear or procrastination or so many other false realities that can hold us back. We need to just take that step and when we look back we can see how far we've come. I hope I can make a video like this for my channel in a few years!
This is so relatable. Although I got my site up running the first day I even thought about growing my brand. And thanks to your experience I came up with a channel name - just used my first and last name. So that way I can avoid being tied up to a specific niche. And I agree the build up phase is the hardest but it makes you appreciate every single subscriber you get and build that strong connection with them. OMG I even forgot how nervous you were in your older videos, it's fun to watch those after so many years. And it is so inspirational to see you having achieved your dream life and being grateful even for the smallest things in your life. We all love your content, Cathrin.

Many of the comments have said it already, but I am still going to say this anyway...😍. You bring so much joy and passion into your video, watching you is like you have somehow verbalised a deep down dream.
I started following you when you had 3000 followers. The video that had me well and truly hooked was the “How to start a TH-cam channel, beginners guide”.
I had a tiny dream, but you picked it up for me and ran with it. That video sowed the seed, I watched and followed, and finally launched my own YT channel back in March…granted I only have 489 subscribers but I’m not stopping. I think what she shares is very good like the optimization and stuff. I like how she explains everything in deals and she doesn’t really sell you much stuff. I know she has a course for TH-cam but it not like in the thousand.

Then the virus outbreak happened and we decided fitness. We grew so much closer with fitness, and we decided we can gain an audience with TH-cam. I wanted to start travel vlogging in 2018, when all of my new camera equipment got stollen on the second day of my Frist vlogging trip. I waited a year to buy new equipment and on my second attempt of vlogging, my camera was lost by my guide when I asked him to record me (this was the first day of that trip). So I had to wait another year again, and then finally be able to start my channel. There are barriers and improvement is part of the journey. No one becomes successful over night. Cathrin! I just got done watching and first of all Happy Anniversary! Thank you for making this and being so open like always but secondly I just had to tell you again what I told you in the letter that I sent you awhile back. I feel like I know you now and watching you and where are literally is one of the few things that keeps me going lately! Things have actually gotten worse for me personally in my family life since writing you that letter and especially with having no equipment and no money to buy equipment because of the limitations of my condition and not being able to just spend money because of benefit limitations it just reminds me every day to just keep fighting because somehow someway a door is going to open for me someday and I’m going to be able to accomplish something with my life and do creative work that I want to do in the way that I want to do it ❤️🤗

It’s GREAT that you knew your passion so early on in your life! I didn’t, except that I loved to write. I excelled at all studies and could take any road and direction, but I never really knew what I wanted. Not that I know now?))) Fast forward few years, I’ve got MA in telecommunications, own an I.T outsourcing business, but guess what? I still write and I love writing above all. I have several books published and e-published, but it doesn’t bring me much money, so I.T and my profession (chosen randomly) came in handy. I wish I knew what I really wanted back in the days. I could’ve used my early years so much more differently.
