You are partly right that people who kept python as pets could not take care of them when they grew too big and left them in the everglades, that is only a small percentage, but the most damaging was Hurricane Andrew which wrecked Florida and many snake breeding facilities that were breeding Burmese pythons were damaged and the snakes escaped into the everglades. this is the main reason we find Burmese pythons in Florida and not only that Florida has a big iguana problem also....

Very informative video. I remember I saw a photo of Florida's Everglade National Park sometime around 2005, which was of a big Boa Python, who tried swallowing a crocodile! Crocodile, with its immense power and jaws, tried to rescue itself. In the end, both died, and crocodile half body came out of Python's stomach. It was an eerie scene. Probably python population had been rising in Florida for at least a decade-and-half now. As you have rightly pointed out, absence of natural snake predators like Peacocks, Tigers etc. have resulted in population explosion of snakes and pythons in that area.
We have them in Utterpradesh like literally every where near lakes in villages we will find them resting under bamboo or mitti ka tila but we also have rabbits siyar and foxes like our ecosystem is just fine. In my villages I can see all of them at different hours in a day. Ahhhhh nostalgia I want to visit my village now 😂
They are not Burmese python they are Indian rock python . They are not that big and powerful as compared to Burmese python and apart from that India has many natural snake predators also .

Very informative video. I remember I saw a photo of Florida's Everglade National Park sometime around 2005, which was of a big Boa Python, who tried swallowing a crocodile! Crocodile, with its immense power and jaws, tried to rescue itself. In the end, both died, and crocodile half body came out of Python's stomach. It was an eerie scene. Probably python population had been rising in Florida for at least a decade-and-half now. As you have rightly pointed out, absence of natural snake predators like Peacocks, Tigers etc. have resulted in population explosion of snakes and pythons in that area.

We have them in Utterpradesh like literally every where near lakes in villages we will find them resting under bamboo or mitti ka tila but we also have rabbits siyar and foxes like our ecosystem is just fine. In my villages I can see all of them at different hours in a day. Ahhhhh nostalgia I want to visit my village now 😂
They are not Burmese python they are Indian rock python . They are not that big and powerful as compared to Burmese python and apart from that India has many natural snake predators also .
