I still remember how beautiful this animal looks and its really amazing to see them back in India - simply delighted. Hope the Indian ecosystem and climatic conditions wouldn't much affect in living habits of migrated cheetahs as compared to Namibia. Since these cheetahs were living in much favorable ecosystem, climatic conditions and suitable environment hence itmay take some time to the cheetahs to get themselves adopted to the Indian forests. Hopefully they will survive everything if they're kept away from poachers The hard work of the project teams will pay fruiful dividends in quick multiplication of the numbers of cheetahs. There is not enough wildlife there that Cheetah can hunt & eat. Unless the National Park authorities take special care to increase herbivores & grassland for them , this Cheetah project will fail at some point. Plus the land is too rough & too small for Cheetahs. Cheetah need vast grasslands for hunting

I live in North Bengal , which was a heaven for the elephants , leopards , single horned rhinoceros , even 40 years back , but now we have destroyed the forests there and snatched their living place for the name of development . Result ? Almost every day some of the animals are being killed , either directly or indirectly !!

Worse situation will be when Visitors start flocking that place. Visitors to national parks lack civic sense & awareness of what not to do in National Parks/ forested areas. Visitors litter the place with food wrappers, plastic bottles & all kinds of trash. Plus feed animals & birds biscuit, bread, wafers & whatever food they bring with them. That's harmful to the environment & the wildlife. Indian Govt should ban open jeep/ vehicles in National Parks. It should be closed vehicles with large windows for viewing and no stop over inside the National Park. That also ensures wildlife don't get disturbed by the human traffic

The Iranian and the Argentina govt talks failed in the past to bring back cheetah, finally at last we have cheetahs in Kuna national park, MP India. Unlike India, no other country has 6 big cats in the world, tigers, leopards, snow leopard, lions, clouded leopards, and now cheetahs.. Wow. I wonder why they dropped their initial plan of cheetah reintroduction in Gujarat - rajasthan border which has vast plains, was said to be ideal running and chasing condition for cheetahs with abundant prey species, I think it is something to do with the rising populations of lion in gir gujarat and tigers in rajasthan. Reentry of cheetahs in the jungles of Infia after a period of over 70 years. It has been nearly five years since I had last seen this lovely animal in Masaimara safari in Kenya. I still remember how beautiful this animal looks and its really amazing to see them back in India - simply delighted.
Hope the Indian ecosystem and climatic conditions wouldn't much affect in living habits of migrated cheetahs as compared to Namibia. Since these cheetahs were living in much favorable ecosystem, climatic conditions and suitable environment hence itmay take some time to the cheetahs to get themselves adopted to the Indian forests. Hopefully they will survive everything if they're kept away from poachers The hard work of the project teams will pay fruiful dividends in quick multiplication of the numbers of cheetahs. There is not enough wildlife there that Cheetah can hunt & eat. Unless the National Park authorities take special care to increase herbivores & grassland for them , this Cheetah project will fail at some point. Plus the land is too rough & too small for Cheetahs. Cheetah need vast grasslands for hunting
But Adivasis and tribal people life in danger..

I live in North Bengal , which was a heaven for the elephants , leopards , single horned rhinoceros , even 40 years back , but now we have destroyed the forests there and snatched their living place for the name of development . Result ? Almost every day some of the animals are being killed , either directly or indirectly !!

Worse situation will be when Visitors start flocking that place. Visitors to national parks lack civic sense & awareness of what not to do in National Parks/ forested areas.
Visitors litter the place with food wrappers, plastic bottles & all kinds of trash. Plus feed animals & birds biscuit, bread, wafers & whatever food they bring with them. That's harmful to the environment & the wildlife.
Indian Govt should ban open jeep/ vehicles in National Parks. It should be closed vehicles with large windows for viewing and no stop over inside the National Park. That also ensures wildlife don't get disturbed by the human traffic

Thanks to the people behind this success, to Namibian govt, and Indian government and Modi sir, wow.. It has been pending past 15 years.. The Iranian and the Argentina govt talks failed in the past to bring back cheetah, finally at last we have cheetahs in Kuna national park, MP India. Unlike India, no other country has 6 big cats in the world, tigers, leopards, snow leopard, lions, clouded leopards, and now cheetahs.. Wow. I wonder why they dropped their initial plan of cheetah reintroduction in Gujarat - rajasthan border which has vast plains, was said to be ideal running and chasing condition for cheetahs with abundant prey species, I think it is something to do with the rising populations of lion in gir gujarat and tigers in rajasthan. Good move. It made my day..best gift from Modi sir yes
