Do you have an LLC setup? That should be the first step if you wanna be taken seriously I'm talking from experience I used to do a lot of watching and studying. The best way is to take risks and feel better knowing you tried rather than never trying.
@@prodbydramatic Yoo what’s up bro ! I don’t have the LLC set up right now , as I don’t have the funds to continuously pay for the fees. I’m doing everything else though like networking , doing shows and dropping songs. Take it like this if you want to be taken serious a business doing business is better than just someone giving you cash and cutting you short and also protects you from shady folks and law suits. Are you signed up to your PRO,songtrust, soundexchange, soundscan, neilson and I hope your reporting the shows for mechanical royalties and always register your own stuff and if you can produce everything in house. Cuz even when you buy a beat from beat stars you don’t own the master recording or if you go to a studio they own a piece.

excuse the off topic question but i only have 176,000 plays on spotify but only a 3 songs that have over 20-30k streams max.. is it even worth the time of registering my works right now? so far i have been master recording royalties from distrokid. at what point do i need to make sure im signed up for BMI, song trust, and sound exchange?

Once you have an ISRC code from your distributor it’s a good idea to get that process started.
