I’ve loved this album for many decades now . I tried listening to it again, tonight, which resulted in my wife asking “are you trying to start a fight with me?”. Somehow, I couldn’t find it within my heart to look her in the eye and truthfully tell her that this is the album to be played at my funeral, ESPECIALLY if the dj can split the audio on cloven radio.

Hello guys, I am an italian puppeteer which is very interested on the work of Sun City Girls. I am researching on them and maybe you have some information. Do you know something about their poetry readings? I mean, I can tell from what I hear and see in their work that they have been influenced by some kind of avant-guard poets, but I can't tell which one. It's only a guess, but maybe you know more than I do. Thank you very much to all. Have a good day
Some of their spoken word stuff certainly reminds me of Jello Biafra. I don't know much about poetry, but my husband is a poet and would probably be able to point you in the direction of some avant-garde poets.
Everytime I come back to this, I realize that my knees have gone slightly cold, eyebrows are raised, ears have been put on full alert, and a slight grin as my head shakes slightly in disbelief.

Funny but Conservatives aren't the problem if you look around.

In Heavy Muzak Rotation
In the dusky glow of a living room’s light,
I turn a dial, seeking sound, seeking fight-
A symphony of chaos in this domestic sphere,
Yet the notes tumble forth, igniting my fear.
“Are you starting trouble?” her voice slices air,
Lost in this cadence, deep in its snare,
The rhythms entwine like roots gone askew,
While I tether my heart to soft melodies too.
This album, dear love, is my funeral hymn,
In each playful jab and odd quirk I swim,
Compulsory magic, in conservatories renowned,
Sgt. Peppers may falter while here I’m unbound.
My knees turn to stone, cold echo in flesh,
Eyelids like curtains, as soft laughter enmesh,
Ears straining forward, to every whimsical line,
A grin breaks my tension-oh, the jokes intertwine.
Ah! The Voice of America, a mirror so stark,
Pulling me under, yet igniting a spark,
In the batter of life, messy yet sweet,
With a blend of rebellion, we dance to this beat.

Let the chaos unravel in candle-lit night,

In the cacophony's whirl, my heart finds its peace.
