    Dude it needs a custom seat for comfort and a seat cowling that'd be the total look

    Nice build, great show and tell too. Might have to steal that banana pan idea on the cafe racer we are about to get started on! Any plans for an exhaust?

    If carbs are clean they start rite up, you saw how small the pilot jets are.

    so its a 1986 cb450sc? I wouldve hoped it was a shaft drive like the 550, 650, and 700. but its very similar to my 1986 CMX450. my engine block is a bit more squared, and the wiring is different. I had indicators for neutral, OD, and both turn signals. Also my OEM headlight was round. oh, and the starter chain may be just as noisy, but I think if the timing chain ever needs replaced on yours, you won't have to split the case to access it. Here's hoping :)

    Love what you & looking to do the same! But 1st I have to get it running right.
    What jets & pilot’s did you run?

    Hey man so I have the same bike doing a super similar build I'm having dumb issues when it comes to that exact same head light uhg if you have any idea or input on how to correctly wire the sucker let me know please!!! I also loved the idea of the banana bread box and actually used it in my build! :)

    • @gargar209
      @gargar209  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Late response sorry. But I picked one up on Ali Express. Wiring was simple just wired headlight to the new light and shoved all the wires into the bucket

    I have a 86 cb450scl nighthawk. How did you connect the fuel line? I keep getting no fuel to my second carburetor.

    • @gargar209
      @gargar209  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      i believe theres a hard line that feeds the second carboff the first one. it might be gunked up. im guessing a stuck float bowl or the jet that the float controls

    • @hugocarrasco5978
      @hugocarrasco5978 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It was the float needle. You were right and thanks.

    • @hugocarrasco5978
      @hugocarrasco5978 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Im using 130 main jets and it wont turn on untill the choke is applied, but then it shuts off when i give gas. Since i have the California model it has an extra nipple for the fuel line. Not sure if i should plug it up. I can show you what i mean with pictures.

    Any troubles getting the pods to work?

    • @gargar209
      @gargar209  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes.it could use a jet size bigger. when going faster then 40 it runs good when choke is half on.

  • @erikdanielczyk7666
    @erikdanielczyk7666 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Awesome build! Any issues on jetting with the pod filters?

    • @gargar209
      @gargar209  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you..at first it was great. But since the build I've had to rejet it twice. Going bigger on the main jet each time. Exhaust is still stock. I can't remember exactly what jet size I'm running. Oh yea and also had to change the needle clip position.

    Great. Another kid who raped a nighthawk making into everything it was not intended to be when it was already cool in the first place. But hey its your bike, make it what you want. I'm more of a purist believing it was most beautiful the way it came. I suppose in the great scheme of things there aren't many options as parts are hard to find. I will note deleting the air box leads to a whole host of problems. It just wasn't designed for air pods. Eh to each their own.
