- China employs thousands of light tanks that are always ready to be deployed in the south, where lakes, mountains, paddy fields and other terrain features pose a serious challenge for mechanized forces. During the last fifty years, China experimented with a lot of different light tank designs. Naturally, in War Thunder, there are quite a few light tanks found in the Chinese tech tree at mid to high ranks. Today we’ll discuss the ways you can use those vehicles as effectively as possible.

Despite being wheeled tanks in the game, the PTL02 is actually a part of the Artillery corps instead of Armored forces. The WMA301, on the other hand, is its export variant
I'm been playing China for a long time now and Im nearly top teir and overall the Chinese tec tree is really good but could you add some Chinese IFV'S to the game it would make China even more enjoyable to play

@@Donkeymaster9000lots of people do trust me. You get a little bit of everything in it. You get F-5’s, the J-7E, and the best F-16 in game. As for ground they have the PTL02, AFT09, all of the ZTZ’s, the Type 62 and others. It’s just a fantastic tree in general
@@Donkeymaster9000 what br and game model you typically playing? Some br range there is definitely less, for example 6.7. But if you play top tier ground rb, I highly doubt if you can play a lot of rounds without having China on either side
@@willisyang4711 5.7 and 8.7 are great BRs for China. At 9.7 you get the “most” balanced MBT for China, the ZTZ96(both the original one and the A variants)
China is an excellent tree, I main both China and America in GB and i can honestly say China is actually better
If you haven't yet, you MUST play the M64 (or M18), these things are lethal.
Ah yes, the THE ODDS ARE ON OUR SIDE hellcat, yeah it is a great tank, with good suspension that a hellcat does not
Both are good. The M64 even has some…Sort of extra firepower
@Not_Ambrose Indeed it is slower, yet, the M64 makes it up in a significantly better suspension, making its response much more effective during an engagement

The ZTD and ZBD family are very interesting machines.

I hate it when I'm playing as my m4a3 Sherman 105mm tank and then one of those buggers turns up, shoots my tracks out and then repetitively shoots me till I'm dead.
Use .50 cals. PT 76 is just cannon fodder

The ZTL has been missing its ~30km/h reverse speed since it got added. When is it getting its actual reverse speed?
Is it possible that we could see the ZBD 03, ZBD 04, and ZBL 09 added at any point in the near future?
I hope so gaijin has not fed the Chinese ground tech tree with any new ifvs

@@lafosh7234 Yeah, the Chinese light tanks (From both Chinas) are cool or even good, and we only have a few of them ingame. That includes the IFV's from both nations. I hope we get them soon even tho we dont lack lineup fillers.
@@FrostWolf02 if it goes at 9.0 sure... def make a case for the zbd86a going at 9.0 with apfsds belt + tandem HJ-73's. i only say zbd04a to minimise risk of 8.0 lineup getting EVEN bigger

I love Chinese light tanks. I love the ZBD04, ZTQ15, ZTS63A and ZTQ62G.. you know, the ones you haven't added in game for 3+ years since the tree was added. But hey atleast we get low effort ZTS63 1980 with useless dart next update, baby steps I guess, a very slow baby.

Please, please, please, PLEASE add visible commanders when playing in third person mode in Ground RB ! You already have visible crew in open top tank destroyers and flak vehicles, I don't know why our delicate minds are barred from seeing the commander slumped over after being taken out. It just irks me so much that a tank can use its cupola MG while being spammed with high caliber HE or hundreds of cannon rounds, all with zero effect on the commander or crew !
While I'm dreaming, could we also have an "added gore" option, perhaps set to off by default and only actionable by responding to a text conformation ? Again, I get that you guys want to keep this game's appeal as high as possible, but seeing as any 14 year old can see far worse in any other FPS this just seems like a relic of an earlier time.
My favorite is all of them tell the truth. China has a good BR balance.
