I have both these balls. The blue is a 14. The Max - I had to go down to a 13 due to recovering from rotor cuff surgery. I do not notice any difference in striking power between these two weights.
Storm should stop making new versions of the Hy Road. The Original, the Pearl and the Solid are perfect. Every Hy Road that has come after those three have been very underwhelming. But if you slap that Hy Road name on it, they are almost guaranteed to sell, then become discontinued in a month.
I think companies have to try new things to stay relevant even if the old products are just fine, but in this case I think of it like an update on an existing concept , as volumes get heavier and the demands from the public changes from high angles to high levels of control , different scents start trending different colors start trending , it's in their best interest to update their line up.
That is your opinion..... I have dominated with the Hyroad Max as a 2 finger bowler (450 rev/16-17mph)..... the original Hyroad is too jumpy and angular in the backend for my style ...
I think personally the Max looks best for me with some shine, either polish or a wet 4000. Gets it down lane easier with such a strong cover but it doesn’t lose any backend.
@@trevorroberts I have also been talking with people about the Max, and most of them (being house bowlers) don’t really like it. I bowl a bunch of tournaments and I feel like honestly the Max is a better tourney piece than on house. It’s what I call a “conditional” ball.
I have the Hy-Road and Hy-Road X. Not sure I'd like the Max all that much as I'm on THS. This new ball is probably too much ball. I have the All Road as well and it's plenty strong enough... :) The Hy-Road worked for you nicely...
Like 350 to 400 but with 14mph ball speed he matches up plus his accolades should speak for themselves no regional or events are easy but I think when ur not paying for balls it gets easier
Hyroad og looks like it hits harder
I agree!
How does the high road max, on a lane with a longer oil pattern than the hyroad?
The Hyroad Max definitely has an earlier and smoother reaction
GREAT TOC run! what pitches are you using in the fingers and thumb and why? Thanks
Thank you! An inch away in the fingers, and 1/8 forward in the thumb
Where is your pin located?
Underneath the bridge on both balls
@@trevorroberts ok thanks I’ve been trying to find out how to get a stronger reaction
@@thefriendlyteenager726 any time!
Can u do,a video with the trans vs hy road max
Trans?
@@trevorroberts it post to be trand and you think that be a good ball after the hy road max
What weight bowling balls you throw?
15lbs

@@itisaporsche that’s awesome! Even those lower weights still go through the pins great!
Ha! There's a little kid bowling a couple lanes over. 😃😄😁
Yep, always other people so close lol
Hy road max vs axiom pearl??
Newbie question 🙋🏼♂️ but why did you polish it? Is it to react differently on lighter oiled lanes?
It is such a strong ball, so I polished it so it would clear the fronts better

I disagree, this Hy-Road Max is really good

@@homegymhulk7256 absolutely, I agree!
Highly disagree, I had a lot of success with the Hy-Road Nano even more than I had with the Hy-Road Pearl

I agree. The polish has helped this ball for me too.

@@charlies302 I haven’t used it on house shot yet but I can understand that. It’s been great for me in tournaments.
I thought this was filmed on a house shot pattern ? It wasnt?
Looks like there was a lot of friction in the track and to the outside. I would love to see the ball reaction when they are tighter down lane.
That is the exact definition of a house shot lol. And that is what i shoot my ball reviews on
The way it comes is not meant for a house shot this is more for heavier oil sport shots
@@sc0ut518 yes correct. That strong of a cover is meant for higher volumes.

Pin down and shined. Genius.
