Baby crow can fly but can't pick up food

- Baby crows are hilarious. First they leave the nest before they can fly, then they spend weeks flying around before they figure out that they can literally pick food up off the ground and eat it.
Here one picks up several dog treats, decides the eating them is too much work, drops them, and runs after its parent to put them back in its bill.
"Right, I've got it in my beak, now what do I do with it? Muuuuuuuuum!"
I've seen juveniles that can fly, as big as adults, that still follow adults wanting to be given food.
Teenagers lol
I've heard a word for this behavior before, and I forget what it is. They're physically capable of grabbing and eating their own food but crows do not do this until well after they learn to fly. I think this is a communal survival plan. Your progeny are far more likely to survive if they can fly before their first out of nest meals. Expecting food to just go in your mouth.. that's the word I'm looking for.
Lucky. They don't have to worry about their food before they're done learning their skills.
Maybe "altricial"?
Fledging?
All part of the learning process. It can be fun to watch. And it also shows just how patient the parent birds are.
I'm watching Magpies do this right now, (which is kinda weird that it came up) they're doing the same thing. Even going to a sibling demanding food. Yet their flight ability is incredibly advanced already.
"I know how to cook, but I don't wanna. Do it for me maamaa"

This reminds me of a modern society, with new generation born after 2000's being literal manchildren in their 20's.
Go to bed grandpa
Ok boomer
This crow video is an example of trade off: Intelligence in exchange for biological autonomy.
